Dr. Gaynor’s stem cell treatment is amazing! Our 10-year old golden retriever was suffering from severe arthritis and could barely walk for 10 minutes without limping and stiffness. After stem cell treatment, she slowly and steadily got more mobile and stronger. A year later, she hikes for 3-4 hours with us in the Rocky Mountains. She has a new lease on life and is enjoying her ‘golden years’ with her sister Rae, hiking and taking daily 2-3 mile walks.

Dr. Gaynor's qualifications are outstanding! And, I am very happy with all aspects of my pet's care and treatment. She has had chronic back pain and has arthritis in her hips and shoulders. She is a 6 1/2 year old Cavalier. He took extensive time with her being very thorough....looking into past history and treatment, observing her movements, and after a diagnosis provided a well rounded treatment plan including laser therapy, medication, and natural approaches... I was impressed at his ability to listen and explain in lay terms the necessary steps for a positive outcome along with a detailed written treatment plan to take home. Dr. Jamie Gaynor helped our boy Gus. Our Rottweiler was diagnosed at 7 months old with severe Hip Dysplasia. We were devastated to see our puppy in so much pain. Dr. Gaynor's anesthesia and pain management boot camps are superior continuing education opportunities. I have been twice in the last 5 years, and I have sent three of my associates. The information and experience we have acquired through boot camps has kept us thinking and offering a high level of care. Dr. Gaynor is a wonderful teacher and has continued to joyfully help with questions long after boot camp. I would recommend boot camp to anyone who would like to elevate their level of understanding of anesthesia and pain management.

My dog Chloe has had bilateral orthopedic surgeries on her knees (equivalent of human knee replacements) over the past two years. Even with surgery, she was poorly ambulatory. It is very difficult to see something you love in significant pain daily. The majority of her life since I adopted her she has not been able to enjoy (let alone perform) normal dog activities (walks in the park, playing with her brothers or other dogs, etc). To top it off, I am a general practitioner small animal veterinarian. I had put her through physical therapy and various drug treatments (NSAID after NSAID) and still saw her in pain. It not only made me question myself as a veterinarian, but as a dog owner, too. I wondered if I had kept her from euthanasia when it may have been the right choice for her. I questioned my decisions daily.

Chloe has been seen by Dr Gaynor twice now. We have added some new medications, laser therapy, and controlled exercise. The recommendations Dr Gaynor made are all based on the newest research available for pain control in animals (which MUCH of which he is the forefront of!). He really cares about the animals he sees and things pain control is of the utmost importance to him. What may have appeared to be small changes have actually been BIG changes. They have turned Chloe into a dog. Now, she plays with her brothers (when they aren't annoying her), she RUNS around the park, she rests comfortably, SHE LAYS ON MY LAP!, and SOMETIMES I can tell she wants to jump. She has gained 6 pounds within the first month of treatment. Chloe has a long way to go, but I am finally excited to see what the future holds for her.

Moreover, I attended a continuing education course recently involving pain management and general anesthesia in cats and dogs which was lead by Dr Gaynor (he is also board certified in veterinary anesthesia). Since this class, I have walked into every surgical procedure with confidence. I know now the animal will go into surgery and come out of the procedure having the very best pain medication on board. Anesthesia is still scary, but I know I have the skills to handle any situation I may encounter. Not only has Dr Gaynor truly helped my dog be a dog again, he's also helped me be a great veterinarian. I am able to take the knowledge he gave me and help many other animals who I do believe would otherwise be suffering, like Chloe was.

I am forever grateful for this experience and will continue to refer any animal in chronic pain to him.

After my 13 year old lab developed arthritis in her front elbow and could no longer take long walks due to a limp, my vet referred me to Dr Gaynor. Kloe had also had ACL surgery on both back legs earlier in her life also causing additional arthritis. Putting my 13 year old dog under twice in 3 days didn't sit real well with me, but Dr Gaynor was very convincing and confident we would be back to taking 1-2 mile walks so b/c Kloe still has a lot of energy for her age I decided it was worth a shot. We haven't taken a 2 mile walk in several years, but even close to a one mile walk would be great. Immediately following the stem cell and Arthramid injections I got her home, gave her dinner and her meds and within a 1/2 hour her legs turned to jello and she couldn't stand on her own. I was completely beside myself thinking I had put my dog in her grave when I had only been trying to help her. I tried to reach Dr Gaynor but only received an email back saying to not worry and she would be fine. She couldn't go to the bathroom and I had to carry my 70 lb lab from room to room because her legs were completely useless. That is the worst experience we have been through in 13 years. Neither of us slept that night. Fortunately within 24 hrs the odd reaction between her meds and the treatment (I think) wore off and she was finally able to stand on her own again, although a bit unsteady for awhile. Weeks went by and I kept being told to be patient and give the treatment time to work, all the while feeling like Kloe had actually gotten a bit worse and defintely wasn't showing these amazing signs of improvement. Several months later, still nothing, the stem cell lab offered a free stem cell treatment via IV. Because it didn't reqire Kloe being put under, I gave it a shot after being told that sometimes pets have a better response the 2nd time around, but again, nothing. I feel foolish for buying into a story that my dog would be back to taking 1-2 mile walks and feel like i paid thousands of dollars for her to be part of a failed science experiment. If your pet is old, save your money, don't put them under and through surgery for no reason and take them swimming instead if they are a water dog. Kloe swims at least twice a week, it is great exercise and great for her joints and to help her stretch her legs and she loses her mind with excitement every time. We no longer take walks less than a year after trying this treatment.
