Dr Williams and staff are awesome. They are always attentive and follow up on your pets condition. They have great hours which helps for those that work during the day and need nighttime appointments. So happy I found this place. I have been using them for 9 years now. The staff has been here a very long time as well which says a lot about the practice.

After taking my pet there, I realized that why this place and Dr. Williams, in my case, get all the praise they do: Amazing services! There is no other ER service I could ever take my pet in the future that is not this one. You feel like you are part of their family as soon as you walk in.

For the first time, someone actually sat down with us and reviewed all imaging, labs and gave us very specific recommendations like they actually cared about, my baby, Joanne, who went for front leg limping and left with an added diagnosis of diffusely metastatic cancer to her lungs after being on remission for 2 years.

Prices were reasonable, and felt each study order could change management and was essential for her care. They were also opened minded to carefully reviewing her complex vet history records from her regular vet clinic. Despite being a private practice clinic, the prices were very accessible ($900s for xrays, radiology consult, medications to go home with, and coagulation/electrolyte/blood labs), and when you add the kind of service received, they are a LOT cheaper… Reason why this is the only vet urgent clinic in near South Miami area with good reviews and a wall full of cards of grateful pet parents at the entrance of their clinic for their excellent services.

But what absolutely sold me on their approach was: Dr. Williams kneeled down to examine Joanne, and let her be herself while treating her with respect, compassion and doing no harm as rule #1, and did not cry at all, wag her tail despite her discomfort and let them examine her at her own pace.

This is so crucial because less than 1hr prior, she was examined by her regular vet, that has known her for at least 1 year, who first made us put her on a high table despite her being limping, then to put her down on the floor to “see what she could do on her own” and then making us put her back on the high table. Naturally, she felt threaten, unsafe scared and nor surprisingly screamed like I had never heard her scream before just by the minimum touch of her affected limb and the continuous maneuvering despite her great level of pain (no aggression or barking displayed, mere crying yet placed on a muzzle too) to the point I had tears rolling down my eyes while the vet kept saying: “I just have to examine her” and sent us off with a list of urgent care places to take her to be properly assessed under anesthesia since “Joanne did not allow for a proper examination.”

Hence, my pleasant surprise when Dr. Williams approach her and conducted her examination with no a single scream or apprehension. She felt safe and we did too; she could sense he wanted to help her with HER permission not intrusively forcing it on to her. As promised also we received a copy of her chart visit including imaging, medical notes and reports within 24 hrs of the visit which was also sent to her regular vet clinic by email.

Excellent service, absolutely recommended, as you may have guessed by this example. We are forever grateful for their tactfulness to the point I wished they had a regular non-urgent clinic where I could continue to take her to !!!

Another vet quoted me an arm and a leg and said my dog needed 2 surgeries. With Dr Williams all she needed was a change in food that was causing crystals in her urine. Dr Williams is the best and the only vet I trust with my dog. He has been with her since she came to me 11 years ago. She needed surgery during the pandemic and I never once had to worry. Any time I've had to visit another vet I did not have a good experience and always come back here. The service is different from other places. They do not try to upsell you ever on things you don't need which is a common practice with the new boutique vets that are popping up all over now. They are honest, reliable, and trustworthy. I will never trust anyone else with my pets.

The people here are so kind and thoughtful. My American bulldog is 10 years old and they really took care of my Luna. She’s quite the sensitive girl and Dr Torres and Nikki the nurse were kind and gentle healers. Highly recommend this team and they play great music too.
