I recently visited Pet Wellness Center, LLC in Fort Myers with my 10-year-old Persian cat, Jigglypuff, and had an experience that truly exceeded all expectations. As an NP student studying holistic medicine, I have grown increasingly disillusioned with traditional Western medicine for both humans and animals. Discovering a holistic veterinary practice just 12 minutes from my home felt like a blessing.

Dr. Ramirez's warmth and compassion were evident from the moment we walked in. She was genuinely moved by Jigglypuff, even shedding tears as she called him a "human in cat form." Her words resonated deeply with me, as Jigglypuff is my soulmate and means the world to me. Dr. Ramirez observed that Jigglypuff had the lowest heart rate she had ever encountered in her practice, describing him as "zen." It was wonderful to see someone else appreciate his unique spirit and calm nature as much as I do.

Dr. Ramirez's approach was the epitome of holistic care. She focused on Jigglypuff as a whole being rather than just a set of symptoms, which is what I believe medicine should be. Her examination was thorough, and her calming energy was evident in every word and action. Unlike traditional vets who often rush to invasive treatments, she emphasized understanding and treating the entire body. Instead of recommending x-rays, vaccinations, or invasive treatments, she suggested a homeopathic remedy, a vial of Thuja, for Jigglypuff's occasional itchy skin.

Jigglypuff adored Dr. Ramirez, offering her eye kisses and allowing her to hold him throughout our visit. I was once told by a pet psychic to watch how Jigglypuff reacts to new people, and his immediate affection for Dr. Ramirez speaks volumes about her loving energy. I wholeheartedly recommend Pet Wellness Center, LLC to anyone considering a shift from traditional to holistic medicine, whether for their pets or themselves. Dr. Ramirez is a rare gem, radiating spiritual and loving energy that is hard to find, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found her.

My dog was diagnosed with IVDD a spinal and disc problem which came on suddenly. He went from an active playful dog to not being able to walk. Surgery was presented as if it was the only effective solution to get him walking again. We were not prepared for an 11,000 surgery. We have 3 children and the thought of having to put down our beloved pet was devastating! We researched and in a day or two he started walking on his own but wobbly. We are happy to see some progress however we were still worried that he would never get back to normal. In our research we came across Pet Wellness Center. Dr Ramirez did some traction on my dog’s spine and sent us home with a laser machine and taught us how to use it. She said his prognosis is good and gave us so much hope! I look forward to working with Dr. Ramirez and seeing great progress with our dog. I know it will not be an overnight thing but with laser therapy and if necessary spinal adjustments i really think that Dr. Ramirez will get my dog back having great quality of life again. I really wish that more people knew about dog chiropractic care and laser therapy. I can only imagine all the dogs that are put down because surgery is not an option for the owners. Also I wonder how practical surgery is! What if another weak area in the spine presents itself? People can’t keep going back for surgery but they can keep working with a chiropractor and the fees are very affordable. So happy to have found this option!!

Our dog was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma 5 months ago and conventional veterinary medicine recommended removing the tumor and subjecting him to multiple radiation therapy treatments by a veterinarian oncologist under general anesthesia. The recommended treatment was simply too aggressive for our almost 12 year old dog, a valued family member. Dr. Iris has not only extended his life but her treatments have given him the ability to jump up onto his sofa again after being unable to do so for months.

This doctor prescribed supplements and within 3 weeks she stopped limping. Zero indication she has any injury! More than 2 years ago Max, at 12, was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. 16 months ago, it got worse. He was found to have large tumors on his liver and near his spleen. His prognosis was that he had a couple of weeks to live. In August, a happy and spry Max celebrated his 15th birthday. Thank you, Doc Iris and Kim for keeping my best friend alive and thriving!
