Choosing the Meriden Planned Parenthood center was one of the best choices I made for my reproductive health. I stopped in yesterday after making an appointment just 4 days prior to get a copper IUD inserted. I have never had any form of vaginal exam, or ever had an IUD. I was brought back pretty fast (please keep in mind others who show up later may be brought back before you, because everyone is there for different reasons and some in more dire situations than you!). Everyone I spoke to was so kind, and they take the patients safety so so seriously, which is so important in todays world. Kate Rooney inserted my IUD, and another extremely sweet girl stayed by my side, as well as my husband, while I had my procedure done. It was a very smooth, almost painless procedure, and every step was explained to me before it was done. I am beyond grateful for the staff at this location, and I am so happy to have had such an amazing first IUD experience.

Wow, I mean if I could give 10 stars I would. When I first contacted to make an appointment, everyone was so helpful at working with my schedule, giving me options and helping me to upload all necessary information to schedule procedures in a time crunch. Even when someone was unable to answer my questions I was promptly called back by someone who could. When I arrived, staff was friendly and helpful. I was alone, and nervous for my cancer screening and I had tons of questions and paperwork for them and every person who I came into contact with was kind and calm. Alexis and Kate performed the procedure, helped me throughout and assured me both during and after that things were going well and informed me of everything they were doing while they were doing it. Kate made sure I had the necessary paperwork and answered all my questions on future steps. Post procedure, multiple women came in to check if I needed anything or provide comfort. I felt like I was in a building full of family. At checkout The woman even provided me with extra pads and made sure my papers were correct and that I was feeling ok enough to drive. These women have no idea how much they helped me during a difficult appointment. They set the standard, and I just want to give a big thanks to all of them.

They are some of the nicest women I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to within a medical environment! My sister suggested them to me and while I had never thought to use them for my regular care, I thought why not I hadn't had the greatest of luck at the nicer, larger, fancy places. I was happily surprised with the level of care and compassion they showed! They helped me get on birth control that actually works for my body and they are professional and you feel as though they actually care about your well being. I highly recommend using them for normal OBGYN care I think you will be happy you did!!

It’s been 3 months of calling and they still haven’t submitted my bill to my health insurance… i’m not paying $235 for 3 packs of birth control that are $25 each. I call almost every day and either get an automated machine during business hours, or i’m greeted with an attitude and rushed off the phone. I’ve even called the main billing office & sat on hold for 30+ minutes as the poor girl tried to get someone from this office to answer the phone. Looks like I’ll just have to file a consumer complaint form with CMS. I’m never coming back here. Find another location ladies!

I went here one morning, I walked in an hour before they were closing. I was accommodated and got what I came in to do. I have never met a more friendly, caring, and genuine staff. They did everything they could to make me more comfortable and lighten my mood. They were the best medical staff I have ever encountered and I highly recommend this location to anyone seeking any care they offer. I will be making a donation. 🙂 thank you!
