I cannot thank the team at Premier enough for the exceptional care they provided for my sweet old dog after his emergency surgery. Since our original vet wasn’t 24-hour, we had to transfer him here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a stressful time.

Dr. Pierson was outstanding—taking the time to thoroughly explain every detail about my dog’s condition, his treatment plan, and what to expect. Their communication was excellent, and I always felt informed and reassured throughout his stay. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients and their families.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly, compassionate, and attentive. From the front desk to the medical team, everyone went above and beyond to make sure my dog was comfortable and that I felt supported.

If you’re ever in need of emergency care for your pet, I highly recommend Premier. Their professionalism, kindness, and excellent communication truly set them apart.

He is now resting at home with his kiddos who were beyond excited to have him home!

Our vet at Bremen Animal Hospital had me rush our 3 year old German Shepherd to Premiere Veterinary Group due to severe dehydration and kidney failure. The staff at Premiere were fantastic. From the front desk Team to Dr Hart, Dr Davis and Dr Rush. The Premiere Team were very professional, thoughtful and extremely informative during the process. Premiere quickly had Zeus diagnosed with Addisons Disease and had him rehydrated within 24 hours. Premiere kept us fully informed of everything they were going to do and possible outcomes. Premiere also communicated Zeus' condition to our vet at Bremen Animal Hospital along his stay.
I highly recommend Premiere Veterinary Group and Bremen Animal Hospital.

Thank you to everyone at Bremen and Premiere for taking great care of Zeus.

Great experience! Although my fourteen year old Jack Russell wasn’t in need of serious emergency help, they treated him as if and I really appreciated the Doctor, nurses and front desk staff. Thanks

I am deeply disappointed with the care my dog, an otherwise healthy 8 year old beagle, received at Premier Veterinary Group - Orland Park. She was admitted as an emergency case for Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome (AHDS) around midnight and began 24-hour treatment. Unfortunately, within 24 hours, she tragically passed away.

While under their care, it appears my dog developed sepsis due to negligence in monitoring and timely action. I requested and reviewed her documentation and found that her vitals were not consistently recorded throughout the morning and afternoon. We received a single update at 7 AM, but no further communication until we were informed just after 4 PM that her condition had deteriorated significantly.

The prognosis for AHDS is generally good with aggressive therapy and continuous monitoring, yet it seems she was not given the necessary attention by the doctors and team, which may have led to a late administration of antibiotics when her condition had already worsened.

Additionally, our attempts to discuss her case and seek clarity were met with frustration. We were told by the front desk that we could not speak to the doctors directly and all communication needed to happen via the hospital director. Despite assurances that a doctor would call us, we never received any follow-up, even after several weeks.

This experience has left us feeling that Premier Veterinary Group prioritizes profits over compassionate care. They were prompt to accept payment but failed to deliver the adequate care and communication we desperately needed during this critical time

While I understand that emergency situations leave little time for research, I strongly urge other pet owners to explore other options before bringing your pet to Premier Veterinary Group - Orland Park, if possible. Your pet deserves the best care, especially in critical moments.

RESPONSE TO OWNER: Despite the assurances given in your reply, we have not received any further communication since July 1st, which was an email stating a doctor would call. We have not received a call from the doctor or heard back from anyone in this office since.

The lack of follow-up and response to my review only underscores the communication issues we faced during our difficult time. We are disappointed that our questions remain unanswered and that the compassionate and professional care you claim to exercise has not been upheld.

Their 24 hour medical care, including surgery, saved my cat's life on New Years Eve when my vet closed early. He got 24 hour doctor supervised care until he was well enough to come home. Everybody there knew my cat's name. Everybody there cared.

When we brought our cat in we weren’t even sure what was going on with her. The staff looked at her quickly and then let us know about the wait times. We needed to leave her with them because multiple other more critical pets had come in but the communication was wonderful. Approximately every 30-35 minutes we received a call. Plan of care and all concerns were laid out. We discussed all possibilities for the cause of the problem and how to go about diagnosing them. After 6 hours, I had my girl back with new meds for asthma. Her symptoms resolved quickly and she has been her usual self since. They called to follow up with her care and if we had any questions. Our vet received her report within an hour of our arrival home. I was very happy with her care.

First off, I'd like to point out that nobody in this hospital has an easy job. My cat, the love of my life, went from 100 to zero in about three days. My regular vet wouldn't see him without an appointment, we were on a holiday week and I couldn't wait another two or three days to get him in. I got desperate and brought him here on July 3rd. They took him right away. I knew I was facing emergency room bills, but I didn't care at this point for my big boi. I let them do the radiology and bloodwork and within an hour they told me he was in kidney failure. I was devastated.
They were very accommodating, told me options, none of the outcomes were good. They brought him to me in a room and let me be with him as long as i needed before I made the ultimate decision to put him down.
They offered to let me hold him in his final moments but I couldn't bear to do it and i asked for a private room and they informed me when everything was done. Tissues were provided.
There's no good way of saying "the love of your life is dead, here's the bill" but they honestly did their best.
I do not envy what they do.
Rest well Juicifer, 2010ish- 7/3/2024

We took our 11-month-old cat, Fred, to the vet because he had difficulty breathing. Our visit started positively, as they quickly took Fred for an evaluation. The first doctor was thorough and explained that Fred might have cardiomyopathy. He outlined the worst and best-case scenarios and advised us to wait and see how Fred reacted to the medication.

Later, another doctor came in and began to instill fear in us, suggesting we consider euthanizing Fred because he might have congestive heart disease with heart failure. He stated that since Fred wasn't responding to the medication, he would likely not survive the night. We requested a few minutes to discuss and sought a second opinion. When we told the second doctor we wanted to take Fred home, he also pushed for "humane" euthanasia, insisting that Fred wouldn't survive the night.

In the paperwork, the doctor noted that we opted to take Fred home for "hospice" care, and they strongly encouraged us to bring him back for "humane" euthanasia, stating he wouldn't survive in the next 12 to 24 hours. Thankfully, we sought a second opinion because Fred is now nearing 96 hours at home and is stable.

If you care about your pet's well-being, I strongly discourage visiting this clinic! Their approach raises concerns—either they are misinformed or are unethically pushing for euthanasia through exaggerated scenarios. Your pet deserves better!
