This is now my go to emergency vet. When I took my dog there was no wait. Dr. Roca, the vet tech, and Suzzy were phenomenal. They gave me all my options and the prices and were very transparent. They even sent all my records to my vet without me asking so when I called my vet they were able to make an informed decision on the rest of his care. It was an emergency visit so it was expensive, but that is to be expected. Suzzy was also very helpful and they answered all my questions and concerns when I called multiple times the following days.

We first visited RiNo Vet a year ago when our cats got into toxic lilies from a gifted bouquet.. it was my first experience with any kind of emergency pet care - the team was so kind and helpful. I was anxious at first to bring in one of our cats in as he is labeled aggressive at his regular vet.. staff loved both of our cats and had no issues with their behavior!

A week ago we had another pet emergency, the staff treated Figaro with such care. I was able to email and ask follow up questions, and I was welcomed right back when I was concerned about his wound possibly being infected. Truly appreciate they followed up with a phone call the next week day. Bre, Dr. Steine, and the rest of the RiNo Vet staff are angels. Figaro is healing well thanks to them! This office has done more for my cats in two visits than their regular vet has in two years.

Titus (the patient) and his humans received excellent care. The doctors explained all options thoroughly and took the time to answer my questions before moving forward with treatment. Their entire team were kind and caring. I received updates morning and afternoon while Titus was in overnight care.

If you need specialty, overnight care or a radiologist have your primary vet refer you to RiNo Vet unless you need emergency care.

Titus is back to his spicy self thanks to the entire team. 🙂

Unfortunately, I had to bring my elderly cat in last week and I was told by the veterinarian that his end stage kidney disease was so severe there were limited options for my little guys quality of life. They gave me as much time as I needed with Rondo to say my goodbyes and made him extremely comfortable when the time came. It was quick and painless and now I know Rondo is in a better place. Thanks to the kindness, compassion and consideration of the staff at Rinovet, it made one of the hardest moments of my life slightly more bearable. They also gave me a beautiful urn with his paw print on it. So thank you to all of the staff that was working that night.

RinoVet saved my dog, but...
My dog ingested a piece of a toy, and after a visit to my regular vet, they determined emergency surgery was necessary, so I went to RinoVet. They seemed competent ("seemed"), and a Dr. Stein performed the first surgery. After one overnight stay, I brought my dog home.

3 days after the first surgery, the internal incisions were leaking, and my dog required a second surgery to correct this. In addition to the huge financial toll, this took an incredible emotional toll on me. The surgeon who performed the corrective surgery saved my dog, but the double-edged cost was more than excruciating. She noted at the time that "Dogs of his size require larger sutures" [than what the initial surgeon used]. Clearly although I had been told that 10-15% of these initial surgeries require repair, I was mystified why the correct sutures were not used by the first surgeon. Then on several visits to see my dog over the ensuing 4-night stay at the vet, during which time he was on sedation, had a drain in his abdomen, and several IV access points, several staff members told me, in hushed tones, "I want you to know, we are giving you a significant discount on your bill given the 'circumstances' of the 2nd surgery."

What "circumstances"? Well, sure, my dog perhaps fell into this 10-15%, but what if the correct size sutures had been used? Could this astronomical extra expense and the related emotional anguish all have been avoided? Very likely so.

In the end, they did discount the bill by nearly 50%, however later I questioned the Director of the practice about the "circumstances". She explained how she, after 10+ years of experience, has a "feel" for suturing these organs, and the proper "bite" to take with the needle when suturing. CYA, par excellence.

The Director did save my dog's life by performing the 2nd surgery, however, I still question why the first vet operated (apparently) unsupervised, if he did not have that "feel" or the same years of experience? And why I should have still had to pay over $7K for the second surgery, necessitated by the "circumstances" of the first surgery.

Although the second surgery was successful, I regret going to RinoVet initially. I will NEVER go to them again, and I cannot recommend their services.

I have been here twice with my cat and although they have both been stressful situations, the staff here has been so amazing and made it as easy as possible! Everything is very transparent in price, the vets and nurses are wonderful and put your mind at ease. I felt completely comfortable leaving my cat here, and they are quick to answer if you have questions! I am so glad that the emergency vet that just happened to be closest to me is also so wonderful!

First time visiting RiNo Vet on recommendation from another Emergency Clinic that could not see my dog for a few hours due to necessary surgeries. Our wait was minimal and the staff was courteous, kind, and professional. Unfortunately, due to my dog's age, existing conditions, and new findings upon exam, I knew euthanasia was the kindest option for my little girl. They kept her overnight and did what they were able to ease her suffering so I could have a little time to ensure I was making the right decision. They called me in the morning to let me know how she did throughout the night and I told them I would be in later for the euthanasia. When I arrived, they showed such patience and caring as they helped me prepare and make arrangements. They allowed me one of their rooms to spend a much time as I wanted to say my good-bye. For such a sad occasion, I couldn't have had nicer people throughout the process. I greatly appreciate all of the staff there that were so good to me and my little one. I opted for private cremation and the urn and paw print I picked up a week later were beautiful. Thank you all for what you do and how you go about it....you are beautiful people! Love, Bella's mom
