Doc Bass and staff are always friendly and helpful. We've used them for years with livestock and my pups. My old man had a seizure last week and they were able to get him in the same morning. Short stay and some blood work, couldn't find a cause but the fact that they were so accommodating was extremely helpful! Thank you!

I can't thank Dr. Bass and staff enough for everything they did for our 2 yr old German Shepherd, Star. When her regular Vet could not get her in for almost a week, they saw her THAT DAY! She was so sick, diarrhea, vomiting, and passing blood, a lot of blood, through her bowels. She was already dehydrated, too. We were so scared. We had just lost our 14 yr old little Dudley week before, so we were really stressing. (He had not been well for a while. It was not the same illness as Star.) We did not want to lose another member of our family. After an exam and blood work, he diagnosed her with the problem. He gave her a couple of injections, prescribed several meds and sent us home, and said if it continued another day, she would have to come stay with them a few days for IV fluids. Thank God she started getting better. Needless to say, Dr. Bass is now our new Vet!

Probably the best veterinarian and staff I've ever dealt with. Super hard to get an exotic vet to accept new customers but this crew goes above and beyond. I've taken 3 turtles to them and they will squeeze you in so you get the best care immediately. Just wish it wasn't a 2 hour round trip!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A REPTILE! My regular vet was booked for the entire month so I came here just to get my turtle checked out for a respiratory infection. My regular vet usually does a check up and sends us home with antibiotics to give to our pet at home and our vet bill is usually just around $100. This vet visit was about the same which wasn’t too bad but they refuse to allow anyone to take antibiotics home and require you to come to a minimum of 2 extra visits just for a shot and they charge over $80 plus fees per shot. There are vets that will allow you to take shots home and administer them yourself which saves you at least $160 in vet visits. I have administered injections in the past and it’s very easy, you do not need to pay $80+ for a vet to do that for you.

I would never recommend this place! As a veterinary worker myself, I took my skunk here for care. My first few visits were fine and normal. Wellness and vaccines. I followed their instructions and abnormal covid protocols. I didn't complain and paid my bill full at time of service.
I requested a quote for his neuter and was given a verbal quote of approx $400.
The day before the neuter comes up and I have showered and given him a nail trim in anticipation for his surgery the next day being Friday. Dropped him off Friday morning and was told pickup time was 10am.
When I went to pick him up the bill was over $800!
When I questioned this I got excuses about the procedures. I was told exotics were more expensive than other animals. I understand exotics are expensive but I was quoted way less.
I had only anticipated to pay $400 and requested to pay the rest the next Friday. Stating I would put my card on file and sign any paperwork to have them charge it that day. Due to the verbal quote being way less than what was being charged.
They refused to let me pay anything and said I had to pay full or I wouldn't get my skunk back. They told me to apply for care credit which I was unable to do at that time. They refused to work with me. I explained the quote o was given, pointed to the cameras at the desk and told them they day and time I was here and recieved the quote so they could investigate it. They refused to look into the video, refused to offer any help or work with me at all, and ultimately refused to let me have my skunk. I was so livid I had to leave and think and drive next door to a parking lot.
I received a call from the PM who tried to tell me that the quote I was given was incorrect. I explained I understood but since the miscommunication was on their end I was trying to compromise, not get out of the bill. She agreed to take all the money I had but refused to let me have my skunk. I refused to give them any money if they were not going to release my animal to me.
Ultimately I had to leave without him. They closed at noon and refused to work with me. Over a mistake on their end. I couldn't come back until Monday morning, where I had to get a loan to pay the bill due to not being paid until Friday. When I got there I asked for an itemized invoice before I paid. The front desk refused to give me one until I paid in full and I had to fight to get it. Ive been in this field for 7 years. I understand what procedures cost and what are needed. Looking into the invoice I questioned multiple things, including boarding charges that accrued due to them refusing to release him to me. I made them remove those charges and a few others that I questioned including a nail trim. I trimmed them prior to the surgery. I was told that was free of charge but looking at my invoice I was being charged.
I allowed all charges that pertained to his procedure and had all the extras removed.
That dropped my bill to below $600 which I paid without question. They attempted to reschedule me and I refused.
I asked for his records at that time and was told they would be emailed. It took me over a year to receive those records and it wasn't for not trying.
I found a different vet for him and have been doing great since!
This place is NOT somewhere I would ever point anyone to go! Just thr opposite.

This place is terrible. I took my dog here and they were rude and condescending. I got an estimate for a service needed for my female dog and they were charging for services twice one for female and one for male and then they were adding things on there with slightly different wording multiple times. Overall they had so many extra thing on there it was up to almost 4 grand. Reading through the estimate they had 9 catheters on there worded a bit different, anesthesia was on there 5 times, the same labs were on there 3 times and they had so much more random stuff that just wasn’t necessary. I went to a different vet and the comparison between the estimates was insane. Same stuff but not triple charged for things. Terrible people for exploiting worried pet parents like this.

I wish I could give 10 stars! Dr. Bass, McKenzie & Cindy are wonderful! I have a very sweet but difficult pitty. McKenzie gets a workout with Lucy!! They are so good with her, take their time, engage with her, I could go on forever. They are good at explaining everything to you and answering any questions. The QUALITY of care you & your pet will receive at RLM is top notch!! I will not go anywhere else, ever. Thank you so much for treating my wild fur-child with so much professionalism, kindness and compassion!
