My wife and I just moved to the area and we're looking for a new young cat to add to the family. We couldn't have found a better kitten and a better place to help assist us in giving him a new home. They were very accommodating even with it being the end of their business day and were very fast in getting the paperwork set up and transfered
We definitely recommend this place.

I am not able to own a cat due to a family member having bad allergies ,so next best thing is me and the granddaughter just hanging out in the cat room and loving on all of the kitties! She absolutely loves it, and so do I. I don't think the cats mind either! The staff here is wonderful, very attentive to the needs of the cats. The food bowls and water bowls are full. Litter boxes are always clean. These cats are living a great life until they find their fur-ever homes!!! The cats all look very healthy and happy! If you are looking to adopt, please check out the shelters!! If you just have some free time, go on in and love on the doggies and kitties! Great experience and facility!!

Updated shot clinic with registration. Got here before 1pm. Clinic is from 1-4. I asked someone what it was like and he told me I need to sign up first. I never read that but I did which the lady was very nice. I got number 30. It was 86 degrees outside and it would have helped to know how long a wait it would be or a number count down. Maybe even sign up online like ppl can do for a haircut? I told the lady that the help could call me but all she said was someone would come out to get us. Please think of an easier way to do this. I just hope that I don't have to wait for 2.5 hours which one man told me he did last year. Or maybe the lady could have asked me if I wanted to sign up next week?! Just a thought....!

I desperately wish that I could give a better review because I know that this shelter is overwhelmed with animals and doesn’t have enough staff, but there is no excuse for some of the things that go on here. My spouse and I went to look at adopting a puppy, and we found one that we wanted to look at. She was stuck in a very small individual cage and had been lying in her own urine and feces long enough that it dyed her skin yellow. We first got to meet with the puppy alone, and that happened in an overcrowded break room with supplies and food out. I noticed some skin issues with the puppy and asked about them. We were told that we could come back the next day to check with their vet about it. We decided to do a meet and greet with our other dog the following day. The meet and greet went well, but we noticed that the puppy had changed demeanor a bit since the previous day. We didn’t think much of it at first, but now that we are aware of why, we’re extremely disappointed in QC Paws for not telling us more about the puppy before adoption. The front desk clerk was very standoffish both times we interacted and seemed very tight-lipped about everything. They would not give us the puppy’s medical records until after I had signed the paperwork. Once we got her home and looked through it, we realized that she had been spayed only 2 days prior, which meant that our first time interacting with her, she was on pain medication and not completely coherent. We were never told about this or that there was aftercare needed for her stitches. The way that they presented her was that she had been spayed way before that. We also never got to actually meet with the vet directly to find out about her skin issues. We were told by someone (a volunteer I’m assuming) that one of the bumps was from her vaccination. We took her to our own vet and they stated that she also had mites of some kind and that was part of the reason why she had so many skin problems. We would never return her by any means, but if we had been given all of the information up front, we might have gone about the process differently and been more careful with aftercare. It was extremely disappointing that they were not looking out for her best interest and making sure that the people who adopted her had all of the information needed to take care of her. Be very cautious and ask a lot of questions if you plan to still adopt an animal from QC Paws so you don’t get any surprises like we did.

Update: 8/13-

We got a note in the mail from QC Paws today with our puppy’s registration tag in it saying how they had forgotten to give it to us the other day. Mind you, we had already taken the puppy to our vet and gotten her registered because they never gave us the tags or mentioned anything. So we paid $10 for nothing because their desk person didn’t want to interact/do their job the first time. Not to mention, they registered the puppy under the name that they had chosen for her.

I went to get my sweet girl yesterday, understanding and planning for their two month adjustment period.
It’s been less than twenty four hours in her new home and my baby girl Noche has settled in like we’ve been roomies for decades. I chose to go to QC Paws because they were local and kept up to date on animal vaccines and medical needs, but when I got there I got so much more than I could have ever expected.
The staff are amazing and so sweet, the animals are adorable and deserve all the most amazing homes. I’m so glad I chose to adopt from them because I met my most perfect friend.

I feel awful for some of the staff here. If they fired the older front desk lady I think they wouldn’t have so many issues adopting out pets. I have never met anyone so unprofessional and mean in my entire life. If she can’t handle working there and doing her job professionally then maybe she find somewhere else to work…..However the lady who works with the dogs was a sweetheart!!! Even after the older lady continued to be rude to her and every person in the building. If you are looking to adopt a pet I’d go elsewhere!!!

Great group of people doing a wonderful job of trying to find forever homes for the quad cities animals. I adopted a cat today after losing my 12 year old cat in July. I miss him like no other I’ll never forget him but I find comfort in giving another animal a forever home.
