i always say women are especially hated at 1. a gender reveal party (“it’s a girl!” booo tomatoes tomatoes) and 2. at a mechanic shop. we get over charged for nothing and everything. NOT HERE! I LOVE IT HERE! I came in to fix one specific thing but then other things got tweaked and boom I left with a smooth driving car.

Been a customer for many years and their service is continuously great. Mario the owner , is known, respected and loved by everyone in the community. Reasonable prices , great customer service and they still pump your gas there , which they don't do at many stations anymore.

I again went for my inspection and oil change.
I know nothing about cars and asked them to look over my car to see if needed any repairs
This would normally be an invitation to be taken advantage of.
Not at Salerno.
They took me right away, looked over my car and told me that everything was in good shape and got me out of there in less than one hour.
They are honest, very friendly and know what they are doing.
I was treated like a VIP.
I suggest you visit them for all of your auto repair needs.

Can I give Salerno 6 Stars? What a great place! Never had a car serviced in Brooklyn before. But needed to have our CRV towed -- wouldn't start and roadside service said starter was shot. Trusted the online reviews, the effort put into a cool website, and the good mentions on a local FB group -- and headed to Salerno. Joint was jumping on a cold Wednesday morning -- customers pulling up to the gas pumps, repair crews under the hoods of a half dozen cars, others lining up for MV inspections. Plus a 20,000 gallon gasoline tanker was navigating a tight turn off Lorimer Street to refill Salerno's pumps. But orchestrating the flow was a smiling and friendly Mario -- who showed the tow driver where to drop our Honda. Before the tow driver could make out a receipt for me (hint -- call OnSpot Towing LLC if you're stuck in Brooklyn) Mario had sized up the situation, had a crew doing a preliminary check, and assured me they'd get to work on the CRV. Cutting to the chase, by the end of the day, they'd found the alternator was also seized (burned up belt was one clue) but got the parts, did the work and had the car running and road tested. I was able to pick it up the following morning. Honest assessment, fast work, fair price. No wonder these guys are busy -- and have been for decades.
