Thank you Saratoga Vet Hospital. I brought my dog Rudy in with some complications. It turned out his kidney levels were high. The doctor recommended an extensive treatment for three days. This worked! His kidney levels are lowered and Rudy is feeling much better. The staff is always kind and compassionate. This place went above and beyond for Rudy’s care and educated me to watch out for symptoms at home.

I have to say I was down in the Silicon Valley to visit family and my dog had an emergency and they took me in pretty much right away ? I ONLY had to wait about 2 hours but I was very thankful.

The Vet doctor, Dr. RoF, came off very stressed type, was a bit abrupt saying I did not know what breed of dog I had (my dog I rescued him) and was a bit short cutting me off in mid sentence ?however I decided to just dismiss that because what mattered most was his attention toward my dog at that moment and hopefully my next visit with him will be better but all in all they (office /Receptionist staff are AWESOME tku girls & Jessica ? for personal attention) did well for my dog and that is what is most important.

The Doc seemed less stressed later & settled down some...so, it was then, I decided to keep him and use Saratoga veterinary hospital as my veterinarian for my precious awesome DOG ?, Roooger, when I come to Silicon Valley.

You know, it REALLY is the little things that mean the most to people. Going the extra minute to say hi to your dog or getting a panting dog water... Giving a smile and saying "it's going to be ok" to an anxious or sad momma~ TREAT PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE.

Saratoga veterinary hospital staff members out of the many IS A GOOD CHOICE ?

They were very accommodating us last minute to have our dog checked out for a hurt paw. We were visiting from out of town. Turns out he had a foxtail weed and they had to sedate and remove it. They took such good care of our dog and had all smiles and tons of good updates and after care instructions.
I would highly recommend them!!!!

So far my only contact has been a single phone call to Saratoga Vet Clinic. It was a great experience. All my questions were answered politely & with confidence I believe by Jennifer (not 100%, I sometimes forget names). I was able to obtain a new patient/welcome to the practice appt. within 2 weeks (could have been earlier but I was unavailable).

I’m switching from another practice with less than stellar service so I was so happy to be “heard” when I spoke about my pups health condition. I am looking forward to more quality service for many years to come since she is only 2y/o.

Update: Sept. 2023 We have now returned for my pup’s teeth cleaning which went very well. Dr. Carpio & his team took extra good care of my girl. Dr. Carpio even came out at pick up time & showed me the best way step by step to acclimate her to daily brushing. Esp since she is so anxious. Everyone in the office is extremely caring & efficient.

Also we returned for a health certificate to travel abroad last week. That appt. also went very smoothly. Ana & Jenny & Dr. Carpio were awesome. They all have a quite a personal touch & clearly care deeply about all the furrbabies that come into the clinic as well as those with issues over the phone as well.

I cannot express how much I appreciate Saratoga Vet Clinic for everything they have done for my pup so far in the short time we have been going there. I highly recommend Dr. Carpio & staff.

Least trustworthy vet I could have imagined. Top 3 complaints below:
1) Administered a steroid shot to my pet without my consent. ($250)
2) Haven’t been in one year since spending $2,000 on tests and visits to diagnose urinary issue with cat that required prescription diet for life. They would not process the order from Chewy since the cat had not had an annual check up
3) was waiting for my appointment and overheard a staff meeting that was kicked off about how the previous month was their most profitable month on record due to additional services being accepted when asked

Had to find a new place for my annual visit and a place to do dental cleaning for our dogs. We found this place after meticulously researching online and on our Nextdoor app for recommendations. It was a smooth experience and the price seems decent. Not low, but not outrageous either. Seems to be market rate and offering quality care for our dogs. The doctor knew how to handle a skittish dog so that was good. My boy is super skittish and the doctor sat on the floor until my dog was more comfortable before his examination. It’s a bit of a drive from our house, but I’m happy with the service and will come back. The techs and staffs were lovely people. The teeth cleaning went well and the doggies are recovering.

It was my first time at this animal hospital. The staff was great. Loved the front desk women and also the lady Anna who asked questions in the room and took my dog to the back. She was super friendly and I trusted her with my dog. Vet was maybe with me for five minutes to briefly look over my dog and charge me $76 for the consultation. Not personable at all. Pushed things on me. Told me how overweight my dog is. And all the issues with this breed. Not something a first time client wants to hear. Will be finding a better place that knows the English bulldog breed and truly cares about dogs and their well being versus getting as much money as they can out of you. He was not pleased when I decided to not go through with his recommendation which would have cost me $460 vs $160 the original quote.
