On October 20th I had to do the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I had to relive the suffering of my 15 year old best friend. I wish I could remember the veterinary Tech and Dr name but I sadly cannot. I cannot stress enough how very kind and gentle they were. They made something so truly heart wrenching so much easier to bear. Reassuring me throughout. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Marlene Thornberry Attached pictures of my best girl Hera when she was healthy and happy. ❤️

I've been to the Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic twice. Both in times of crisis. Both times they treated me with dignity, respect, and grace. They took care of my pet as if it were their own and didn't push unnecessary or costly services on me.

They were prompt and professional, no long waits, no lackadaisical attitudes.

Today was my most recent visit. My 23 year old cat had passed in my arms less than 30 minutes prior as my wife and I were getting ready to take him there. The compassion and concern I felt from the staff was genuinely appreciated.

I felt that they genuinely cared for me and my pet. I would highly recommend them to anyone in an emergency.

Pricing is very fair for a 24 hour clinic.

My service dog Danika terrified me when she got randomly ill and was super distressed (which made me so much more distressed as she’s usually very calm about everything) this clinic took such good care of her and were so communicative with me when I ended up having to leave her there overnight. One of the staff asked me if there was anything they needed to do to help me as they where taking my service dog into the back and asked if there was any kind of time limit I had on her being away from me—they seemed so genuinely interested in keeping both of us safe. The night staff was especially friendly and that really helped during a terrible night. She’s happy healthy and back to work now

Patient, 23-24 year old cat last night during what really is Christmas season. Staff was very prompt, courteous, efficient. Other than coming away with a better picture of my cat's health, and more good news, than "bad," but I might say to the greatly positive end - is there a better veterinarian these days in Savannah than Dr. Baker? And yes, please let there be more like her! She's intuitive resourceful, communicates succinctly, directly, delivers pros and cons without bias less for the respectful context of your pet as your child which I'd offer is both a spiritual way of being a veterinarian, and a professional. Not an easy gig, and we could tell, greater hardships happening around us but they wore it well for all of the obvious difficulties. Anyway, not an easy place to take your pet obviously, but if one must, I can say this was the best place to find ourselves and left with such a fine impression of Dr. Baker and those on staff.

I am so disappointed in the level and quality of care I received for my pet. After leaving here, I no longer believe veterinary medicine is a science. This team did nothing to help my pet but inform me of the services they offer (and could perform to MAYBE determine what is wrong) and prescribe medicine. They did very little in the way of making me feel that myself or my pet were in competent/ expert hands. $1,200 in the hole and I have got nothing but ~8 medications to show for it. I still had to follow up with my reg vet. They seemingly cannot and will not do anything but take your money and run overpriced testing just to(without giving expert advice). Please go anywhere else. These doors should close. They are not in the business of helping animals; they’re in the business of milking vulnerable and loving pet owners for all they’re worth. A shame.

I always miss his name. The gentleman we’ve now seen a couple of times there is amazing. He is extremely helpful, kind and compassionate. I wasn’t there for an emergency thankfully, just a cone replacement, but he’s always great. I have had some really negative experiences at other places; this clinic has definitely left a lasting positive impression to me.

Both of the women I interacted with on the phone and in person were incredibly kind and compassionate. When we arrived we were met with understanding and a sense of urgency my husband and I greatly appreciated. I hope everyone going through a hard time with their animals is able to interact with people like the women who helped us today. Your small acts of kindness made all the difference, thank you.

Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic -

Absolutely Appalling Experience
I cannot stress enough how terrible my experience at Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic was. From start to finish, it was a complete nightmare.
I brought in my cat for an appointment, and they brought me a dog. It was shocking and completely unacceptable.

When they finally did bring my cat, she was soaked in urine. The technician didn't even seem to notice. The carrier was also soaked in urine, which is unsanitary and distressing for my pet. When I brought this to their attention, they refused to help or offer any solution.

Throughout the entire ordeal, not a single person apologized for the horrendous treatment. Instead of taking responsibility, they made a series of excuses, which only added to my frustration.

I had to call twice to get any response. The office manager never called me back initially and then kept referring to me by my wife's last name, despite telling her my name at the beginning of the call.

I requested a discount on my bill since my work scrubs were ruined. I can't wash them because of no electricity. They wouldn't provide the owner's name or any timeline for a call back, even after explaining my situation with no power or cell service due to Hurricane Helene.
I was billed for lab work (CBC, chem 17, electrolytes, radiology), but I never received any results. My regular vet hasn't received them either, so I can't even prove the tests were done.

Overall, this was the worst vet experience I've ever had. The lack of care, professionalism, and basic decency was appalling. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic at all costs.
