I’ve spent ages searching for a foundation that truly matches my skin tone, with the help of numerous makeup artists. Yet, every time I’d leave the store, the foundation would look different in natural light—something was always slightly off.

This past September, I visited the Sephora in Tampa and was fortunate to meet Ang, a beauty advisor who provided an experience unlike any other. He listened carefully, offered expert advice, and handpicked several foundations from different brands that matched my preferences. Ang’s extensive makeup knowledge and seasoned insight shone through. He took me to the large windows for the best natural light and meticulously swatched several shades on my skin, testing each one until we found the perfect match.

To my surprise, we ended up selecting Haus Labs with an olive undertone that beautifully blends with my skin. Visited this location yesterday because it’s near where I am staying. Everyone was so pleasant. I made an appointment for a full face today and had an amazing experience with Ms Rae. Again all the workers were so amazingly nice. Very warm and welcoming environment

I visited the store yesterday and everyone I interacted with (~3 associates) were so kind and helpful - it was such a great experience. They took the time to help me find the product that I needed as well as give alternative options and recommendations.
I also had my little one shopping with me and they went out of their way to make her feel special.

What they show in-stock online for the store does not reflect what they actually have. Been to two sephora stores that said they had a product in-stock for pickup, but neither actually did. One of the employees at this particular store rubbed me the wrong way. She showed me over to where the item I was looking for was and stated, "We have all of them in-stock here" and walked off and went to stand by the door on her phone, no worries. That's fine because I know what I needed. When the shelf was in fact empty of both shades of the item, I checked the drawer underneath but without luck. I was wandering around looking at other things when another girl (who was nice) asked if she could help. I let her know what I was looking for wasn't stocked. At that time, the original girl came back over and heard me tell the girl I checked the drawer already. The original girl assumed a very sing-songy/condescending tone and said, "That's great you're notifying us of something we don't have in stock. Next time you find something that's out, let us know because the drawers are for employees only, okaaayyyy looovveeee?" and then walked off again. Um, that's cool, but I'm 40 years old. I don't appreciate being spoken to like a 9 year old destroying your drunk elephant testers. Had you not said matter of factly, "we have them all in stock here" and instead just double checked before walking off, I wouldn't have opened a drawer by myself 🤷🏼‍♀️. Also, had the product been there, I would've gotten it, paid, and gotten out of the store without bothering anyone else for anything. I most certainly did not like her tone or general demeanor, which isn't necessarily a reflection of Sephora itself, but rather the general attitude of a particular employee.

I am unable to recall her name, I was in the store uncertain of what I planning on buying, but was browsing. An employee checked on me if I was finding everything okay and I asked where the Rare Beauty was, instead of directing me there, she responded with “well for starters that’d be in the makeup section, we’re in the skincare so you sure won’t find it here,” with quite a condescending tone. Once I got to that section I had to tip toe around because of other employees blocking it for their own conversation. In general, it seemed that it was an inconvenience to them that people were shopping in the store.
