Perhaps the worst manufacturer of restaurant equipment. We have made the mistake of purchasing multiple panini presses. Essentially all stop working within the first month. They do not stand behind their warranty and when I called to ask how to get reimbursed for repairs I spoke to a manager (perhaps the owner) who was rude and told me they did not pay for repairs to a piece of equipment that was less than 30 days old. Do not purchase anything from this company.

I would like everyone out there to know Serv-Ware likes to steal American Made products and have the them manufactured in China. I know this because they are having China manufacture add on griddle and broilers along with lift off griddles that Rocky Mountain Cookware has been manufacturing at there shop located in Montana for 30 years. Actions like this is what makes it hard on a small American Company and can destroy them. I personally contacted Serv-Ware and spoke with one of their employees who stated they manufacture their own cookware products. I asked this employee you mean to tell me you have employees in a shop in North Carolina actually manufacturing cookware products and she finally said no and advised me their cookware products are manufactured in China. Stop knocking off American Companies and being part of the problem! If anyone is wanting good quality True American Made cookware products that are NSF rated I ask you to look at Rocky Mountain Cookware for your needs.

Unfortunately not everyone who answers the customer care line knows how to address issues and ask the right questions. The Head Technician admitted this himself and advised me to ask for him next time I call, but that doesn't cover the nearly $400 bill my business incurred. Had the receptionist identified herself as such and transferred me to a knowledgeable tech, we could have avoided this. An apology was made but nothing to cover this ridiculous cost on a 3 month old machine.

I have purchased several pieces of equipment from you. The last was a beer bottle cooler about 1 year ago. I have not gone a single week from the day I received it with out having to unplug and defrost. I have had certified technicians look at it.
I have reached out to you several times for help with a resolution. I have purchased and still own 4 other refrigerated units from you and they all work great. This $1500.00 Bottle cooler has cost me hundreds in beer and more in unhappy customers. My employees are having to use a milk cooler in the back kitchen to keep beer cold while trying to resolve this issue of being unable to maintain a temperature below 45 degrees at best. The average is 50 degrees.
(Take note potential buyers, your employees will get tired of this real quick).
To add to the disappointment the center bar is lose after the first 2 weeks. After a year the wear is such that the doors will not close unless you pinch the handle and lift it over the edge.
All I asked is for you to stand behind your product. You have not.
Now just barley one year later what I have is an over priced bottle cooler that is about useless unless I just accept the fact its really just an overpriced ice chest.
Why can you not help make this issue right. I have purchased several of your products, I am willing to pay the freight for a replacement even though I have complained about these issues since the first weeks we have had it.
I'm just completely disappointed in the lack of care or pride in customer service and especially craftsmanship.
To anyone reading this review, sure a rouge product makes it through every production facility. This review is calling out the company to stand behind the product. Again I have been asking for this issue to be addressed since the first few weeks after purchase.
I ask you Serv-Ware to respond to this review to show your potential customers how you will handle any issues they might have with your products. Will you convince them they can purchase your products in confidence that you will stand behind them or ignore this review while I go purchase a better well known brand name that does stand behind their product, name and reputation?

UPDATE: After contacting support with the information requested in the reply to this review, Serv-Ware was able to help me get this unit working properly and even above and beyond its intended capabilities.
I was not aware of an ambient temperature limit of 86 degrees plainly listed on the Info tag on the inside wall of the unit. We are an outdoor restaurant and bar in a coastal region. This certainly was a factor in this units performance.
After a couple simple modifications to the area the unit is being used as well as a procedure change this unit has not gone above 40 degrees even with the door opening and closing constantly for hours during high volume bar sales.
As with the other refrigerated units I have purchased this bottle cooler now operates as reliable as they do.
These are some things I would recommend when you purchase this unit for high volume usage in an environment that may be humid and above 86 degrees. While it is not intended to be used in that type environment it is performing as well as a higher cost unit created for these environments.
#1. We cut two vents into the customer side of the bar to allow the unit to breath easier.
#2. We placed a small desk fan near the back of the unit. This forces air out from behind the unit and allows fresh air in to the cooling intake.
#3. We unplug the unit while we restock and rotate inventory. We plug it back in when we are finished. the beer is ice cold and unit temp stays between 36 & 40 degrees 24 hours a day now.
Thank you for your time and patience Chris. While I appreciate the offer of sending us a new unit I do not believe we need one now. Thank you for the knowledge gained about this type of equipment. It will certainly be remembered and we will certainly look to Serv-Ware for future cooling unit needs.

Don't Buy as there product is not built well and they don't follow through well on warranties. Spend the extra dollars for a better brand.
Edit: updating to two stars as they say they are sending me a new unit. If that happens I will improve my review again.

As a workplace the environment is good but they don't give adequate training and I was" let go" on my 6th day when the lady who hired me specifically said I had a month to learn everything. I was notified of this when I had left work by someone else. No chance job.

Absolutely trash products and trash warranty/customer service. Our equipment malfunctioned within a month of owning the product and when we reached out to have the product repaired, no one has been responsive. It has been over 2 weeks now and still no response. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
