I've been bringing my dog to Shadow Ridge veterinary clinic for grooming and various services for quite a while now, but I've recently noticed a decline in their customer service. During my visit today to drop off my dog for grooming, I found Lisa on a phone call. After she finished, it took a while for her to acknowledge my presence. When she finally did, she skipped the usual friendly greeting and jumped straight into asking for the details of my appointment. After a brief wait, she quoted me a price for grooming that ranged between $78 and $95. When I inquired about a whether prices had increased, she checked and confirmed that my last visit had indeed cost $78. Then, she requested a $78 deposit upfront.

At first, I was willing to provide the deposit, but I hesitated and asked if there had been a change in policy. Her response felt a bit uncomfortable, and it struck me that this might be a new practice she had just come up with. It seemed as though she was worried that I might not pay for the grooming and wanted to ensure she secured at least the $78. Feeling judged and unappreciated, I ultimately decided to cancel my appointment. I know my dog deserves much more than just a monetary value of $78, but I couldn't overlook the condescending attitude she displayed. While I understand deposits are often required for other veterinary services, I've never been asked for one when it comes to grooming. If this is indeed a new policy, it would have been helpful for her to explain it in a more respectful manner.

This clinic needs to focus on having the right personnel at the front desk to interact with customers. The nurses and receptionists seem unhappy, as do the groomers. It’s clear that something is impacting the quality of service at this clinic. Most customers simply want to feel valued and respected. It creates a sense of comfort knowing that the people caring for your pet are happy in their roles. If the staff appears dissatisfied, it’s likely that they won’t treat your pet with the care and kindness they deserve.

I wish I known this place. Been looking and calling around for inexpensive neutering in the area and I was so surprised w the estimates, worth giving a try. The surgery for my 2yr old GSD was great, the doctors did an excellent job and staff showed extra care for my fur baby and made me feel calm and comfortable despite the notes I told them from the previous vet, negative feedback from former place (VETCO) where my dog records from birth.
I will move my dog and cats care here and will share my own experience to my friends and families ❤️?

One word BEWARE!

Even with a meeting and clear understanding that boarding my high maintenance pup required pampering and no expense needed to be spared since I clearly realize she is beyond needy, I picked her up with multiple injuries to her face and toes, and a broken tooth requiring surgery to remove it.

The absurd and defensive email response from Dr Schiebert was hardly worth responding to so I thought it would be best to just take the time to warn others.

Most alarming is that according to the vet this NEVER happens and according to her staff this ALWAYS happens. She went as far as suggesting that my dog came in with self inflicted wounds and continued to cause these additional injuries to herself even though the staff had already advised me that "this ALWAYS happens here."

Believe me and believe the other reviews here and spare yourself and your precious pet the horrendous experience that we encountered here.

I'm sure the vet will attempt to discredit my review in the same absurd manner that she responded to my email with, but to bring my review full circle...BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!

Also, my rating is actually 0 stars but you know Google doesn't have that option.

I called to ask a couple questions, and the lady who answered was very sarcastic and overall rude. The unprofessionalism there was not appreciated whatsoever. If you don't enjoy the people that come along with the pets, then a customer service job really isn't for you. Kindness goes a long way just really isn't that hard.

Also extra disappointed because i came here in 2019 and the environment was way more welcoming, that switch up i received was not what i remembered from you guys.

Dr. Jenny and her team took excellent care of my elderly dog in his final phase of life. I wish I had switched vets when he was younger. They sent the most supportive card after his passing. I will be back with my next pet.

They just moved across the street next to Stater Brothers. They are in a huge spot where Tuesday morning used to be. The staff were all very friendly and the spay cost was lower than Melrose Vet Hospital, also in the Shadowridge area. They took really good care of our baby girl Katness!
