My experience with Shores was an amazing. I was recommended to this facility and the staff were incredibly nice and showed my puppy so much love! My pup received his 1st rounds of shots and the outcome was successful. Lab work came back quickly and was able to pick up medication at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

My boy Chopper looks forward to his friends at Dr. Shores. Although Dr. Shores is no longer with us. His legacy is, and the staff from the front who welcomes you to the vets who take care of you. Chopper is 145 lb Akita and knows where he is loved and cared for.

I have been taking my dog to Shores Animal Hospital for the last three years and have nothing but good things to say. The only reason we are leaving is because we relocated and need a vet closer to our new home. Our experience was always very pleasant and although we had several changes in primary doctors during that time, each one was attentive and patient with my husky (who we all know are notoriously not great with vets and groomers). Thank you Shores for providing great veterinary care for my first ever dog!

My little Howie was so excited to see me! He growled all the way home. Thank you Shore’s Kennel for keeping my little guy happy and comfortable. Not only was he happy, he smelled great and was very clean. I highly recommend Shores, the staff is excellent, the kennel is very clean and smells great ?

This vet is awesome, they were able to see me the same day when I found a stray dog. The front desk staff, techs and vet were so nice. They made my scared pup feel comfortable. By the end of the visit he didn’t want to leave! They even sent me a copy of all his lab results and discussed different tests and the benefits of them. They didn’t make me feel pressured to order unnecessary exams. I would definitely recommend this vet!

Ive been a client of Shores since 2006 when I moved back to Gainesville. I love that everyone is like family with the way they treat my family! The front office is very accommodating, but it seems the prices are rather high, I.e. dental, some meds (wipe pads for itching). A mail convenience for meds is offered may work for some people, although I prefer to not depend on that service since I live close by.
Shout out to front office and Meghan and Sherry (office manager) are the best! Meghan spent a lot of time helping me select the best cost for certain meds for my three dogs and I appreciate the time she spent.

From making the appointment, seeing the Vet Tech, to seeing the Vet, all were amazing experiences.
I was traveling out of town with a PUPPY no less and we had a me issues where I felt he needed to be seen right away. My friend referred me to her Vet office and they worked me in right away
Their professionalism , kindness and knowledge were spot on!!
We do travel to Gainesville a bit and will always make them our Gainesville Vets!!!

My dog developed a fast growing lump on her rear. I took her in to have it checked. After the vet checked it she gave me the options of having fluid drawn from the mass to determine what it was so I could determine how to move forward. Surgically removing was not an option due to her age and heart condition. During the process of removing the fluid the vet punctured a blood vessel and my dog bleed for three days. She was not a happy camper. I felt like I was just left to deal with this with no option to stop the bleeding. After 3 days of this my dog was exhausted and so was I. I was informed that the sample would probably be contaminated due to so much blood and would probably have no answers. I will not put my dog through this procedure again at her age and the cost involved to not have any answers of what this lump could be. The only hope I have now is to keep her as comfortable as possible.
