Amazing place!

My husband and I called very last minute because our regular vet has no veterinarians on staff on a regular basis it seems and all surrounding vets had no appointments available.

Both our dogs were experiencing vomiting and bloody diarrhea the last 3 days. Slate Creek was able to get them in and taken care of so quickly.

All the staff, from the Receptionist, to the Vet tech to the Veterinarian were all so professional and friendly.

10 out of 10 highly recommend and will most likely we will be returning. ❤️

Clean, well staffed and personable communicative vets. Everyone in the office seemed to care about their jobs. Thank goodness there is at least one decent modern vets office in this area. I have taken my elder cat here many times and she has been well cared for by Dr. Yu. The vets really take time to check her out and find the problem. It’s great they can scope samples in house immediately- they diagnosed a yeast infection in my cat’s ears. Definitely recommend.

I will House-sitting and had to take in one of their esteemed large-animal pet in for something while my friends were out of town and I found the staff to be Very friendly to me and wonderful to my companion animal as well as my friend's pet.
They were very understanding and accommodating, AND I was very pleased that my friend was able to keep in touch and interact with the vet and the office via email.

What can I say about Dr Gray? I've never met a more gentle, caring, compassionate vet. I had to take my 5 pound chihuahua there on Tuesday Nov 12 after she was hit by a car. Dr Gray was amazing, and her staff was fantastic. They were so gentle with Laney when we arrived and even had a little fuzzy bed and blanket for her to lie on. This did not go unnoticed. So accommodating and understanding of our tough time. Not to mention the ONLY VET AVAILABLE between 11:30 and 2pm that day in a 20 mile radius. Fast x ray revealed the devastating reality. She explained our likely options and we had to make the hardest choice a pet owner will ever have to make. Dr Gray gave us all the time we needed to stay with our Laney bug. Never once did I feel pressured or rushed. I loved the country feel and the squeaky floor and the personal attention she gave us. Through our tears she let us exit the side door. I know these were the worst of circumstances under which to meet, but I'm so glad we did. I will make her our vet from now on.

Dr Yu (formerly at Companion in Cam Pk) is now our "Vet of choice". We followed her to Slate Creek. She is nothing short of AMAZING. She CARES about both her patient & their human family.
If you need a great Vet in El Dorado County, Dr Yu is the one you should choose (IMHO).
