Pésimo servicio, no te aclaran nada

I will pursue every legal avenue to ensure Dr. Shaun Caudle never treats another animal. His lack of effort and carelessness led to my dog Odin, a 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Chow Chow, being put down last night. Dr. Caudle misdiagnosed him with kennel cough and prescribed a powerful steroid instead of a cough suppressant. The test for kennel cough came back negative, but only after six days instead of the promised 3-4. During that time, Odin was unnecessarily on the steroid, despite showing side effects that Dr. Caudle dismissed as normal.

When the test came back negative, my pregnant wife called three times but received no response until two days later. When they finally called back, we were admonished for even considering taking him off the steroid due to the risk of withdrawal. The side effects worsened, and another doctor reduced the dosage, but we still couldn’t reach Dr. Caudle. That day, Odin had multiple seizures. He was rushed to South Buffalo Animal Hospital, but despite their efforts, he didn’t recover.

Odin was a healthy, happy dog, and his unnecessary death has devastated us. My wife, who is five months pregnant and high risk, lost her constant companion, and I had to manage her grief while protecting her and our unborn child from further stress. Dr. Caudle’s reckless prescribing, lack of communication, and disregard for clear warning signs killed my dog, and I will make sure he’s held accountable.

I swear on everything I hold sacred, I will spend the rest of my life ensuring this man never practices as a veterinarian again. This isn’t about money—it’s about principle. His carelessness cost my family dearly, and I refuse to let him harm anyone else the way he hurt us.

Great experience every time! We came in, ended up needing surgery for my pup and the vet was great. She met and exceeded expectations and we understood every process and follow up necessary. They took great care of my pup and I will always go back here as I have for years!

Our first experience with South Buffalo Animal Hospital was due to a pet emergency. We had just moved I to the area and didn’t know where to go. We were blessed to find this safe haven for our pets. Our pets are part of the family and have had the best medical care and communication a veterinarian office could provide. I promise you….our experiences have been of the utmost highest standard pet care any fur-parent would want for their fur-babies.

Amazing staff. I have had dogs all my life but never seen such a caring and amazing staff before. I had to euthanize my dog this morning and everyone was so kind and helpful and thoughtful I couldn’t have asked for a greater support system during this process. My only regret is not having found them before but when I get another pet I will without a doubt bring him here. Thank you !!! You all are amazing ?

I have been bringing my Great Danes to South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital for about a year now, and I highly recommend them. The staff in the front area (who answer phones and handle billing), are very friendly and pleasant. All of the vets and vet techs truly care about the animals and their "parents". Everyone at this business is kind and compassionate. Dr. Caudle and Dr. Nai Yin are the two vets that I personally have seen, and they're both fantastic. They are very thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. The rates are more than reasonable, too. The parking lot is large and spacious, and away from the main road. I am very picky when it comes to my dogs' veterinarian. As a result, I have changed vets often. But now that I have found South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital, I'm definitely staying with them. They truly care about the pets and their humans.

Just to start, I have never wrote a review on anything in my life but this has to be known.

The lack of respect, scam and attitude that everyone in this building has is sad. We took our cat here to receive help on a Sunday when our regular doctor was closed and received the worst care humanly possible. Dr. Maria Torres has the worst attitude and care for animals that I have ever seen as with the front desk reception and Dr. Shawn Caudle cursing at me in front of my fiance. We left halfway through our appointment because upon reading the other reviews people have had, we noticed we were headed down the same rabbit hole. I urge everyone to seek another hospital for their pets. These people are horrible, absolutely horrendous.
