I brought my two kittens for their first vet appointment at South Loop Animal Hospital and the experience was nothing but excellent! The front desk was quick and informative. The vet techs and doctor answered all my questions and any behavioral issues I’ve noticed with my kittens. They caught quickly that one of my kittens had ear mites and did a free of charge in house ear cleaning. I paid for two ear mite revolution medication to prevent any further issues. They received their last booster kitten shots and said that if any ear problems persist with one of my kittens then to definitely come back in. My other kitten had some goopy and crusty eye build up I started to notice and they sent me home with some eyedrops and I could have the option of starting her on antibiotics to further help later if needed which I don’t think I will need. They handled my kittens with care and love and gave them churrus for their shots. They were comfortable and exploring the whole room during their visit which was super clean. The prices were all reasonable with the visit itself being around $96 per kitten and shots being around $54 each. Because I only plan on coming in for just an annual checkup & shots each year this is reasonable to me and I am glad to have a very caring doctor and vet techs in my neighborhood. They slept like babies when we got home and weren’t stressed or anything at all the whole experience. 🙂 Thank you SLAH from this happy cat mom.

We've been taking our dogs to South Loop Animal Hospital for a couple years and I highly recommend them. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable, they take their time explaining what's happening with your pet and really seem to care. We see Dr Sanchez, he's the best, very thorough and kind. We used to see another vet who retired and she recommended him, so glad she did.

I am deeply grateful for the care my cat and late dog received at South Loop Animal Care. Dr. Manrique, Dr. Ojala, the technicians, and the front desk staff have all been exceptionally compassionate and dedicated, providing excellent care and support. This is a place where I can trust that I’ll be contacted if necessary, rather than having to follow up on medications or other matters. I also love the new look of the facility—it’s a wonderful change!

SLAH is easily the best vet I've ever been to. We've seen multiple doctors in the practice and had a wonderful experience with all of them. I have a super senior cat and she's not a fan of the vet (what cat is?) and they always take great care of her. In fact, I moved away from the neighborhood years ago but keep coming back because everyone here is lovely! I can't recommend them enough, especially for cat owners.

I have been taking my dogs since they first opened. So convenient and Dr. Manriquez (one of the original founders of the S Michigan Ave location) is great. I just wish the costs of tests, etc., were a bit more affordable, but the service itself is fantastic. Highly recommended.

My dogs have been patients of SLAH for 6+ years and we could not be happier with their treatment. I'm sure they would appreciate less shots, but my two extremely anxious boys are handled with such care and compassion that I don't think they mind going too much. Dr. Karnia and all the staff are so kind and patient and answers my many many questions. I think the cost of their care is fair considering what you are getting, which is a very professional staff and a clean calm vet office.
