Dr. Barron is the best!! He takes great care of my pups! We had a super sick pup over Memorial Day weekend. Dr. Barron got back in touch after I sent a text and he made a trip to the office to get Harley started on some antibiotics and steroids right away. If I could give 10 stars I would!!

Originally came here for a job interview. I’m boarding/grooming experienced for 3+ years. The front desk people were very friendly. However, upon meeting the veterinarian, I learned that he was extremely prejudice and made multiple comments about he didn’t “like” my piercings/tattoos. Even went as far as to tell me that they were a hazard. Again, I have groomed/boarded multiple places prior to applying for a position here so I knew he was full of hot air. He treated me as if I knew nothing about what went into the job. I’m fairly new in town and was hoping to have a place to take my animals to the vet locally, rather than drive 45 minutes to Ozark Veterinary Clinic, but after meeting this veterinarian, I refuse to give him my business and would advise other modified people stay away as well. The funniest part of all this is he had me waiting for over half an hour after my interview time and then had the gall to treat me like the unprofessional one.

Today, my first visit at Southern Animal Hospital, was amazing. Dr. Barron's support staff was warm, kind, and treated me very welcoming. Then I met Dr. Barron. Dr. Barron was so kind and explained everything as he examined "Izzy", my fur baby. If you are looking for a veterinarian who demonstrates knowledgeable skills and is caring, Southern Animal Hospital is who I trust to meet Izzy's needs. I've been going here for 3 years now with my diabetic senior cat and they've always been great with her! I've had to board her a few times and they don't mind if I call every day to check on her. They've been really great with her diabetic care, which has probably helped her live longer. She's 17 and has been diabetic for 4 years now. Recently had a UTI and I was able to bring her in the morning I called and was seen about that day. Staff is really friendly and it's always very clean when I'm there. Dr Barron is very friendly and a great vet. Plan to continue using him for years to come!

Been using Dr Barron and his staff for 3 years, we have ALWAYS had a great experience. Dr Barron is very friendly, along with his staff. The office is clean and doesn’t have the typical vet office smells. Will recommend them to anyone, he is worth the drive if you’re not local.
