100% positive review! The amazing team saved my baby! She was so sick, but she is home now! They kept me extremely informed, and updated on her progress. The doctors there are not only very good at their job, but they have an amazing amount of love and compassion for the pets, and the pet parents. Every single person, from the doctors, and technicians, to the janitorial staff, are so kind and caring. They really do take it to heart. While the circumstances were terrible, I loved our experience, and while I wouldn’t want to ever have to go back, I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to saving as many babies as possible! Photos are first day of treatment - coming home.

I bring my dog here after a night of him just not being himself. We were welcomed in the most friendly way. The front desk receptionist was very welcoming and showed empathy to us. Everything was clearly explained with the steps to treatment. I was presented an estimate. Upon me trying to make a decision on how to proceed, one of the workers suggested going to New Hope Animal Hospital. This was a great example of integrity for me, and I am willing to come here 100 times more.

Had a wonderful experience. My poor dog couldn't pee all day, and we rushed him to the ER. They explained everything thoroughly before doing it and explained all the fees. They were able to do surgery and remove his kidney stones. Everyone was super sweet and kind from the moment we got there, to the moment we picked him up.

I had to bring my sweet boy to Steel City after he started having extreme GI issues. They took him back to examine him very quickly after we arrived. They brought me an itemized estimate to approve before they did anything and only recommended the most necessary diagnostic work to identify the issue. Once they identified the issue, he was treated quickly and we were on our way home to recover. They were more than happy to answer my questions and explain things to me before we left. The entire staff was kind and helpful from the moment we walked in. They were also so sweet and loving to my big boy which isn’t always the case, so I was extremely appreciative of that! I am very happy with the care and service we received here. Overall, great experience during a scary situation!

Have a co-owner that was told to bring pups to this vets office for care due to possible parvo virus outbreak.

I never take the time to write a review about a business but I will make sure to write about our experience with this place.

This vet will never ever have the opportunity to see any of our pups or animals ever again. For a vet to need money so badly they basically want to steal your money while disrespecting you all in one visit is mind blowing to me.

My co-owner ended up at this vet with our litter of pups ( first ever outbreak of parvo at the co-owners location ) and this vet told them they are a puppy mill and a disgrace, just to try and bully them into paying expensive vet bills…. I had my co-owner refuse service and walk out because the quote we got was outrageous it robbery !!! …. 3500-8000 range to start for 1 puppy for overnight care… ( we have 7 total).

We took our pups to another vet who was able to treat the entire litter for 800.00 same care and same treatment was administered.

Stay away from this place, all they care about is the money. They see you walk in with a designer dog and your price for service will triple just because of the breed of dog you have….

Also accusing someone of being a puppy mill after passing all inspections including AKC in home inspections is a joke!
Stay away from this money hungry vet! Take your babies elsewhere

This emergency vet was very good with Apollo and compassionate with us. All the staff were extremely kind and handled a terrible situation with kindness and grace. We are so grateful they were able to do a CT and get he results so quickly. They are very upfront on all pricing and gave us all your options before doing anything. They even called our regular vet to keep him informed.

I want to give a shout out to Steel City Emergency Vets. We unfortunately had to take our pug there early Friday morning. When we entered they asked what had happened and immediately took Roxie back. Dr. Carlo came out and explained the she may have to have surgery for what he expected was going on. He observed her for awhile longer and she started to get somewhat better. He videod her walking and shared it with our vet as well as what he felt she needed treatment wise. He came back out and discussed that he felt confident we could medically manage her. He then told us he would get an estimate of what the cost would be. The estimate ended up being a little less than quoted and a whole lot less than I expected. I say this because I had heard horrid stories of ER vets asking for $1500+ deposit before even looking at the animal. Steel City cared for our pet first and as a pet lover, that speaks volumes!! If you find yourself I need of emergency vet, I highly recommend Steel City Emergency Vets!!
