I called stellhorn vet clinic after a recommendation from a family member and was highly disappointed. My 13 year old dog was sick and needed to be put down. Our regular vet is about 35 minutes from our house and I did not want to make him suffer in the car that long after such a rough morning. I called and asked about getting him in to be put down and was told on the phone “we’re not accepting new patients.) this was a very distasteful response to give someone who is already sobbing about having to put their pet down who obviously was not going to be a new patient. I will not recommend them to anyone and hope they treat their existing patients with more compassion at times like these!!

I would give the vet herself a 5 star rating as we loved her. However, the staff, time and time again made us feel as though our dogs were an inconvenience. Numerous times they spoke to us unkindly and the last straw was when we were experiencing something very scary from a new found allergy with our golden and they lacked empathy and emotion when we were asking for help and to get her in. A wonderful vet but the staff ended up pushing us away. I hope they offer others and their animals compassion whether over the phone or in person.

I love this office. They are so friendly, knowledge, and helpful. They were excellent with end of life care for our first dog. Unfortunately our second dog had heartworm and they did an excellent job with treatment. The vet called us at 8: 00pm and talked to us for 45 minutes and answered all our questions about the treatment plan. I will always take my fur babies there and highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Dr. Couch for years. I love how she explains everything so well and gives detail on my pets medical conditions so thoroughly. It helps a lot. She’s caring and friendly, too. Thank you!

I have always loved the Dr.s at this office. There are a few individuals that work here that are unfriendly, and insensitive. I called in to schedule a euthanasia appointment for my best friend who was actively dying at home, and was told after looking at the doctors schedule, there was no time to fit us in and we would need to go to the emergency clinic. I was hurt. I feel that the doctor should have been given the opportunity to make this decision, and that this would be the exception to a busy day, even if it had to be at the end of the day. No pet mom wants to go sit at an emergency clinic to euthanize a loved one, they want to be with the people that have cared for him- it's personal.
