I came in with legitimate concerns and was turned away because my job required frequent travel. The staff mentioned that I wasn’t 'established,' and I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of concern and support for veterans. This experience has left me frustrated and disheartened by the system that should be there to help us but was sent to an urgent care instead.

My husband is patient, we were told to take him to ER last week sat there or 8hrs all they did was give him something like Tylenol extra strength and some patches to use for muscle spamming. They took xrays and CT scan said they didn't see any blood clots. Drew blood and sent him home. They also told us to make followup appt with primary care Dr at clinic. Took him to see Dr appt today and we have to go back tomorrow to get more blood work. My husband is a very active person and for the last month he can't sleep and ever joint and muscle in his body is putting him in so much pain. Just trying to get up and down or ride in truck is making it worse. Just want to see him get back to normal. Hopefully they will be able to help him. Other wise I will try and get appt with different Drs.

Apparently, they have 1 person that does labs and she closes from 11-1pm. I was told to come anytime after 7:30am, so I drove all the way there just to be told the lab person is gone until 1pm.

That’s just excellent service. How many Veterans can only get off for lunch during the week to get labs done? So that means, we have to take time off from work. That’s loss of money, gas, and time.

There should be multiple personnel that allow VA services to be open 24/7. Not just when it’s convenient for the staff. Alternating shifts and lunch breaks would eliminate this headache.

I made an appointement to be seen. I called a couple of days before the appointment to verify it. The front desk said that I was good to go.
Showed up on appointment day only to be told that I am not scheduled for an appointment.
I showed the staff member my appointment on my phone (my healthy vet) and she she says "Just go to Clairmont".
She doesnt say where in Clairmont or even what time to be there. Just go to Clairmont.
I also made another appointment for mental health. I was informed that I was going to be seen in 4 weeks. That time period passed. After asking the front desk on the status. They told me that they could not find anything in reference to that appointment. I was told that I would recieved a call to fix the issue.
It's going on 4 weeks and no phone call yet.
This issue goes way above the leadership at the stockbridge VA.
I hope that someone outside can take a closer look at this location.
I will say that their are good people that work there, but this location truly has some issues that require major attention.

5 stars for the lab technicians!
I will say however, the check in service needs some work. Caveat, it's not just the Stockbridge Clinic. I can't understand why the VA's first line of contact with our vets is so poor. Is it truly that difficult to be courteous? I think all VA front line service positions should require mandatory training on the experiences of all veterans. I think if they truly understood how and what these men and women sacrificed for our country they'd have a different outlook on every veteran walking through the door.

I went there to get my blood work done and everything was great until the end when asked to set an appointment at this same facility. The person I talked to was very discouraging and negative. She was no help at all.

I was coming here expecting the worse. There was a good bit of people, but fortunately they have a decent waiting system. There was more than 1 person running the counters thankfully. As long as your pleasant to them you shouldn’t have a problem here. The Worker named “Range” was very helpful.

Some of the most unprofessional and uncaring individuals, I've ever seen in life. The people who check you in are ineffective in their jobs. If you are in need of accurate care, think twice before going here. The Stockbridge clinic used to be excellent before Dr.Lane, and Nurse Pope left. Now it's a horrible place to go.
