We have used Suncoast for years. Dr Baker helped us enormously with our old lab baby at the end of her days. Now we have a brand new puppy and they have taken such great care of him. Especially when we had to rush him in on a weekend thinking he broke his leg. Got us in quickly and cared for him lovingly and efficiently. Looking forward to many many years with them.

Hello guys! Last night our huge Rottweiler boy Howie was extremely sick, had a diarrhea, blood in the watery stool and couldn’t poop at all… we didn’t sleep the whole night and were worried about our 123 lb baby, I called to Suncoast Animal Clinic in the morning and they taken us for the exam as an emergency case, the Dr. and staff were helping us and provided IV fluids, prescribed antibiotics, the Doctor tried to pull the poop out or it was might be a piece of a approved pet’s treat bone, and the Dr. gave all the necessary suggestions, they worked as a very good team. Long story short, my dog felt much better in an hour, we came back home and he did his business and slept later in a better condition. The whole thing cost: exam, meds, IV and we got canned food for his recovery $167. I think it’s affordable, thank you Suncoast Animal Clinic! We Do appreciate the help! Good luck with everything! I've been looking for a vet since moving. My 11 year old dog hasn't been feeling well for a few days and we were able to get an appointment next day. Staff was friendly and gave me an itemized bill upon request. The vet was informative and helped plan steps moving forward for my pup. Her and the tech took things slow as my pup is fearful of vet handling. Looking forward to our next visit!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Dr.Claudia was absolutely rude from start to finish. She insisted that I needed to collect a urine sample because they couldn't get one. After explaining to them that obtaining one wasn't possible she told me"if an 80 year old woman can get one you can too". The last thing I want to be is insulted during a pet emergency. Thanks Doc. Edited : You may not have one anymore but you sure had one at the time of my visit and I visited the location on 26th and not in Sarasota or I would have placed this review on the correct business page.

Ive attached a picture of the bill that clearly shows im talking about this location.Whether her name was Claudia or not the rude Hispanic doctor that you had/have working there is who I'm and the other reviews are referring to. So rather than evading responsibilities you can get off of here and do a better job at customer service.

Worst experience I've ever had from a veterinarian. She was rude. I went yesterday to put my dog down, she was very sick. I know when my dog is ready. She refused and insisted on blood work, whick cost 335 dollars. Then call today and suggest the dog get put to sleep. I knew that yesterday. Cost another 150 dollars plus the original visit of 200. She just wanted the money. Terrible. I will never go there again. When I called and talked to receptionist before I took the dog in to be euthanized I told her I thought it was awful. When I got there she insisted I apologize, which I did not!!! Worst experience ever, never again. I had a friend help me with the bill. The receptionist made a comment to my friend that she hopes she gets her money back. What kind of comment is that to make to someone. I believe her name is Cathy. Not positive but I do not believe that needed to be said. The bill is between me and my friend, whom I also work for!!!! Terrible

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It started at the front desk. Just rude , dismissive. I stated to my partner right then , that if the front desk is rude , wait until we get to the back , kinda joking. But I couldn't of been more accurate! Believe the reviews people!! The Columbian "lady" vet is as rude , money hungry , judgmental and dismissive as everyone is saying! I have different views and belief systems than she does and she let me know how disgusted she was with that. My dog has had all of his first shots. We make his food at home and try not to pump him full of poison whenever possible. When he needs assistance that we cannot ourselves provide , we take him to the vet for help. Not judgement , or you personal beliefs bestowed upon us! She and her sidekick made their judgments and disgust obvious. And then told us that we baby him too much. I do not believe you can love anything too much , again , our beliefs. So snarky and just plain nasty! I am a business owner myself...if I ever caught anyone in my crew addressing any human in these ways they would be gone immediately ! This business will go down , as it should , with this kind of service. I will bring my baby boy to a vet in 3 weeks , just not this one. EVER! And I'm sure the person that responds to these (the "lady" herself?) will have excuses and will blame it on me , because there was zero accountability in any of the other reviews. Everything is everyone else’s fault , but everyone can't be wrong , can they? You guys really need to do better. And maybe its not my partner who needs therapy (because she babies our dog too much) YOU DO! Your attitude is disgusting!! NO1 should go here!! EVER!!
