I cannot express enough gratitude for the folks over at Sunny Brae Animal Clinic. From Dr. Carlton to everybody else on staff they’ve provided me (scared of anything having to do with doctors) an amazing experience.

My late, sweetest dog Roxy was turned away from the clinic that I would regularly go to when she was having a medical emergency. At this point I had already been to this clinic but bounced around some due to relocating and in an absolute panic I called Sunny Brae and despite them being very busy they urged me to come right down. Dr. Carlton saw me right away and tended to my girl, answered my calls and expressed real empathy and sincerity until ultimately having the make the decision to let Roxy cross over to the other side 10 months later after several visits. They provided an amazing experience during a very hard time and I will never go anywhere else or see another veterinarian ever again.

I could live on the other side of the world and I would jump on a plane and go straight to Sunny Brae Animal Clinic.

We brought our three dogs and two cats to Sunny Brae for 8 years. All of the staff was very kind and compassionate. We had a few emergencies and some difficult situations over the years and the staff was very supportive. Although typically booked a ways out for regular appointments (we understand that's a demand issue) we were usually able to squeeze in for urgent care.

Compassionate and knowledgeable. My third family dog goes here now. Sometimes I think about if I can improve my dog’s life in some way. I don’t have to worry about her healthcare though, It’s the best.

Always seems to be a few minute wait when you call in, but it’s worth it.

I started retirement two and a half years ago I need a vacation so I explored Northern Humboldt what a mistake my dog sniffed something up his sinuses I looked all around for a vet to help the price is way over the scale unbelievable insurance that doesn't for x-rays they couldn't go use the scope to go into the nose to look so my dog got him fisted develop the tumor passed away the services of veterinarians in Northern Humboldt way overpriced highway robbery for travelers the veterans are not very good way too young they need experience had to put my 14 and 1/2 year old dog down I'm never going back to Northern Humboldt bad juju people but there was this one veterinarian Sunday night 7:00 p.m. she was awesome she was very nice to my puppy Jack thank you for helping me putting my dog down we're back in Monterey in the yachty world today I go do a burial on a bluff looking over the ocean in Santa Cruz California thank you.

Dr. Carleton is awesome, and the clinic is clean, orderly, and if you have an appointment, it is very timely. The staff seem genuinely interested in your furry ones and very kind. Excellent care and a great new mural adorns the office building, and there is a sweet new Rainbow Bridge and quiet space for those needing it. I appreciate the excellent care.
