I should have wrote this months ago.

My dog and I have moved around a lot, had seen at least 4 different vets. Since she was a puppy she always had sort of a scabby/ inflamed patch on her belly that she regularly licked. Each vet I saw related it to her licking and fungal issue and prescribed a topical treatment- which did help with the redness. I stopped thinking much about it over the years and just used the topical ointment when it got very red.

However, when we moved to Elmhurst I took her to go see Dr. Jennifer Draca for a teeth cleaning. Within 12 seconds of a physical assessment she figured out the actual issue with my dogs red belly patch. It was a left over stitch from when the rescue fixed her. This stitch was causing her so much discomfort for 8 years. She removed it during the teeth cleaning and per my request saved the cursed stitch for me in a tube.

I am so grateful.

Also we had to move again. And we have another puppy now. I wish we were still in range of Dr. Jennifer Draca :(.

I have four dogs and every single one of them goes here they fixed two of them and did a fantastic job One of my dogs that recently passed away went here for the last 2 to 3 years of her life, I guarantee you they are the reason she lived those extra years The vets are patient and kind the vet assistances are absolutely amazing. I could not recommend them more. I have been to quite a few vets and none of them are as good Also, as far as pricing, they are really good about keeping Your finances in mind and they are definitely one of the less expensive vet

They were able to get me in quickly as my sweet cat was limping. During the exam, they also discovered an ear infection and explained everything very clearly to me. The entire staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter recommended this clinic and I am very grateful that I took my fur baby there. I highly recommend this clinic!

I brought my dog for a nail trim, and it was quick and the girls who helped us were so nice and patient, even gave me tips on how to do it myself if I wanted to try trimming her nails. It’s always a pleasure going to Thrive, they are honest and have awesome advice to keep my pet healthy and happy!

Just moved to the area and took our pup to Thrive for a first visit and check up. Staff was extremely friendly and the doctor with great with introducing the pup to a new space. Our dog, Janet, is a bit timid (to say the least) at the vet. They didn’t push her and gave her lots of pets to make her feel comfortable. We scheduled second visit to do some of the more intrusive test so she could ease into it.. makes a huge difference knowing the care about your dogs feeling above everything.

I absolutely love it here!! Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. Every-time me & my dog visits he gets the best care which is extremely important for me, as well as him! I have been to other places for care but none of them compares to Thrive-Elmhurst.

I absolutely love this place. I have a small 6month old mix Pit bull who gets so nervous and scare around strangers. However, here is the only place in which he feels comfortable and allows himself to get examine. Doctor and her staff were vere professional and were able to make my dog feel comfortable in the environment he was in. My puppy arrived to his visit barking and left completely happy, wagging his tail. Staff really do go above and beyond to make the pets feel comfortable and safe.

I will preface that Dr. B is no longer a vet at elmhurst Thrive and that is for good reason. He absolutely butchered our dogs neuter. We were left to go to the emergency vet 3 TIMES and had to come to Thrive to see Dr. Draca 2 or 3 times. Finally, the emergency vet reopened the wound and found there were numerous stitches just floating around in our dog. He had an extremely high fever, blood and mucus coming from the stitches and finally a blood drain attached to him that we had to empty every couple hours bc it would fill with blood. A GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY. We had some inside info from a vet tech at the emergency vet saying they have been trying to get rid of Dr.B for a while. She said Thrive should reimburse us. We spent thousands of dollars to fix him and the higher ups at Thrive told us to to submit an insurance claim.

I spent hours trying to gather all the information to do this just to be told "we did not find any malpractice, sorry". No one will call us back or try to make this right. We are now told they are not supposed to talk to us yet they fired Dr. B. Truly, we just wanted our money back from the neuter and was hoping they would pay for our emergency bills as well. We were left with nothing and people taking weeks to get back to us to just say they are not allowed to talk about it. It is absolutely disgusting how we have been treated. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Stay far away from these disgusting people. The fact that dr b was allowed to perform surgery is insane and the fact that he was fired speaks VOLUMES.

5k down the drain and no help from anyone. Such a disgrace.
