As someone who has seen and dealt with emergency vets a lot since getting my wonderful French bulldog, sushi, 5 years ago, I thought I knew what to expect when walking into Thrive. This place exceeded all preconceived notions on what an ER vet is and can be. Everyone was so nice and warm and helpful. As busy as they were, we were seen quickly and efficiently and the plan for treatment was in place within 30 min of being there. They were able to diagnose and treat my sushi baby and saved her life. I will be forever grateful and a customer for life. Thank you thrive!

We brought in beloved pup Moose with a potential major medical emergency and we were besides ourselves with concern. The staff was so caring and helpful to take us through our options and next steps. The Doctors were upfront and factual with us. The techs and front of office employees were all so sweet and helpful in every way! They helped keep him calm and wagging his tail in a super stressful situation. The office is clean and welcoming - spotless base boards in a vet office is quite the feat! While it didn’t turn out to be as horrible as we thought, they gave us a clear plan for next steps to getting our Moosie boy back to feeling better. Thank you all for your help 💕🐾🐶

Thrive doctors and staff were instrumental in saving our beloved dog Marley last October 2024. We had no idea he had a congenital heart defect until he went into pre-op at our local vet hospital. They caught it and said he was in critical care and to get him to an ER asap. From the moment I called Thrive, they were incredible. Everyone I encountered there was amazing. They even gave me a tour of the ER and let me say goodnight to Marley before going home for the night. Thank you, Thrive, the Cardiology Team, and ER staff for your quick intervention and expertise in quality care. I will refer everyone I can to your wonderful care!!!

I found this place because I was very unhappy with another internal medicine in downers grove. I came to Thrive looking for a second opinion with my 1 1/2 year old dog with a chronic intestinal disease. They were so mindful of my wallet. They were able to properly diagnose her right away and start treatment the same day without additional tests. The other location wanted me to spend $10k to diagnose her with tests she didn’t need. I was with the previous vet for 1 month and they didn’t help her. My dogs illness is not easy to cure and she had to stay in the ICU for 3 days. Still way cheaper than the other location. Ever since my dogs came home the doctor wanted weekly email updates and answered all my questions in a timely manner. They saved my dog’s life and I couldn’t thank them enough! I drive 45 minutes to take my dogs here for emergencies and for the internal medicine department. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO! Everyone is so professional!

I had the most amazing experience with my first visit to Thrive! I saw Dr. Cochran in the neurology department for my pup. I was so nervous for the appt and he was beyond wonderful. I walked out with no questions, I felt so much better about my girls situation, he put me at ease, he gave me options and explained everything so thoroughly. I would recommend Dr. Cochran to anyone that needs to bring their pet to see a neurologist! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Our first visit to Thrive , specifically to see Dr Merriam for an ultrasound for our kitty Lily . We have been cared for by Dr Merriam in the past at another practice and were delighted to find her so close to our home now . My first impression of this new facility was very good . I was greeted warmly and quickly . We were shown to our exam room and admitted by a lovely tech named Amy. She asked all the right questions and took proper notes of all my concerns. They took Lily back for her ultrasound and brought her back in a short time , after which Dr Merriam came in to discuss results and possible treatment options .
I did not feel rushed or pressured . It was a follow up , so I did know what we were dealing with . I am happy to know that we have this new facility so close , as it has specialty medicine and Emergency services 24 hours . Our check out was just as seamless. Based on this visit I would highly recommend .

I took a dog into the emergency room at Thrive for ongoing vomiting and possible foreign object. I was very pleased that they checked my dog immediately, then explained they had several critical patients and I would be seen after them. Communication was good throughout my visit. I felt my pet was being examined well and the treatments offered were reasonable. Emergency vets are always expensive and Thrive is no different in that regard, but I felt that my dog got treatment that she needed..
