Dr. Rebecca Parker is awesome!! My puppy son, Prince sustained a pretty serious injury to his neck. This injury was so bad that his neck was wide open and you could see everything in his throat. I was worried but I could clearly see the worry and concern on Dr. Parker’s face. Prince had to have major surgery and stay a few nights in her care. The dr could clearly see my concern and she tried to reassure me even though I could see the worry on her face. I received daily calls as promised from the Dr with updates, Dea her assistant is also top notch she was so gentle and caring with Prince. But the biggest impression came from the front office staff, ( I can’t remember her name) starting with the phone call to see if they could see an emergency. The receptionist was so polite and when we arrived her compassion was helpful. After a few days I was able to bring Prince home with a drain tube, I was given very detailed instructions on how to flush the tube and how to perform his care for the next few weeks. Upon check out Selena was also very nice. This was not Prince normal veterinary practice but based on the service received his care has now been transferred to a place that genuinely seem concerned and has a love for the pets. I’m so thankful for this practice and the care and love shown to my puppy son, Master Prince.

Dr. Parker is amazing, when I say the love she has for pets is extraordinary. My grandpup was very sick, we didnt know what was wrong but she had parvo. Dr. Parker made sure to let us know Storm was in good care. The staff here is also amazing, we called daily to check on storm and they answered every question with no problem. I love this place and highly recommend

Gave this hospital only 1 star for at least the head doctor (Dr. Dawkins) of the clinic. I would give this hospital no stars if it was not for Dr. dawkins. Dr. Dawkins is a wonderful doctor that has compassion for all his clients. Dr. Parker on the other hand I had a very unprofessional experience with to say the least. I interviewed at this hospital and was introduced to a dog that was abandoned here by the name of Roxy. After meeting Roxy, my partner and I attempted to take Roxy home and adopt her. We were told that she had been living at the hospital for 8 months and that her previous owners abandoned her there. I had Roxy for 2 weeks and within those 2 weeks, Roxy managed to attack my other 3 animals. 1 dog, and 2 cats. We came to the conclusion that Roxy needed to be with a family where she is the only animal in the family. We then attempted to bring Roxy back to total pet care hospital and I was mocked and laughed at by Dr. Parker. She also denied having Roxy for that long of a time (8months) like we were told and continued to laugh at us. She then also suggested without empathy and with a smurk on her face that she would have no problem euthanizing her right then and there on the spot. We found that inhumane. When I interviewed at this hospital, I was also notified that Dr. Parker only cares about the money and not the pet. That she has almost zero compassion. This Doctor clearly sees animals lives as nothing but money in her pocket. I highly suggest going elsewhere. Doctors who lack empathy and view lives as nothing but a profit need to be brought to light. I hope this review serves all for the better judgement when looking for a doctor for their animal companion.

I came in on 10/31/2023 about my baby Sadie. Dr. Parker and her staff helped me with her transition and were very kind and empathetic to me and my kids. Dr. Parker was very compassionate and thoroughly explained Sadie's condition. They gave me time to spend my last moments with Sadie (without rushing) and ensured she was in good hands. Thank you Total Pet Care Hospital!!

My new puppy was on the brink of death. Dr. Parker saved his life and worked with me on my limited budget, showing compassion for these animals and that she cares about the owners as well. Even though it's a pretty good distance from my house, Total Pet Care is the place I'll be taking my dogs from now on and Dr. Parker is now my vet.

If I could give 0 rating I would. On 7/18 we took our 4 month old dog to this place where we were told she would be watched overnight and cared for after being hit by a car. Around 7pm we were calling trying to get an update on our dog we weren’t provided with an after care or emergency number. She told us our dog would get a dosage every 4hrs. Moral of the story please do not take your dog here especially black people they don’t care about us or our animals. I will be taking them to court on this matter. There is so much more to this story as well.

This has to be the best pet Clinic in Trussville. The staff make you and your babies feel like family from the time you walk in the door. One of my little one had been suffering with an ear infection. 2 other places had been unsuccessful and want to do more invasive and expensive treatment. Dont here the Doctor knew exactly what to do and within a week by little baby was feeling much better. Total Pet Care Hospital in Trussville has become my 2 doggies new primary physician. Thank You Team.
