I've been bringing my dogs here for almost 20 years, and they have always provided top-notch care. My baby boy, Odin, had surgery to remove cancer from his knee in December and Dr. Marrguo saved his life. I will forever be grateful to her.
Unfortunately, I've had to put 3 of my boys down in the past 20 years, most recently my Charlie, and the staff at Valley Ranch has been beyond kind, understanding, and compassionate during my heartbreak. I can't recommend them enough.

Monty came in for a dental cleaning a week ago. The staff took EXCELLENT care of him (and me!). It’s never easy when a pet has to have a major procedure - there is always a risk. The staff knew this and was very considerate of my feelings. I couldn’t ask for a better doggo hospital. Thank you to everyone at VRAH that helps with Monty - from nail trims to major procedures. We appreciate you!

I have been a loyal client of Valley Ranch for a few years, but my trust was recently shattered. I was quoted around $300 for an exam and x-rays for my dog, but upon arrival, an assistant (not my regular vet) presented an $800 invoice including unrelated procedures like bloodwork and an additional x-ray.

Despite agreeing to proceed, I specifically confirmed that they would discuss the x-rays with me before treatment. They assured me this would happen, but instead, they induced vomiting without consulting me and reviewing the x-rays first.

When I had questioned the estimate and reiterated my request to see the x-rays, the assistant made an inappropriate comment about my budget, implying my concern was only about cost. This was not true as my primary concern was to understand the x-ray results and know exactly what was going on with my dog. Her comment was insulting and showed a lack of empathy. It wasn’t about not wanting to pay that amount; it was about losing trust based on the inflated and unnecessary charges.

After a 45-minute wait, they informed me they couldn’t get a definitive reading from the x-rays and needed to send them to a radiologist. Without waiting for those results, showing me the x-rays, and explaining why inducing vomiting was still the best route or discussing other options, they went ahead without consulting me.

They failed to provide a timeline or discuss my dog’s options, instead simply reporting that my dog was only vomiting bile, which concerned me as he hadn’t eaten anything. Their lack of communication and judgment left me very anxious and stressed.

As an emergency I used this vet and what a mistake. I made a follow up appt for the next day which was a waste of time because I wasn’t even seen until 45 minutes after my appt time. They seemed to care more about money than actually taking care of my baby. I’ve been to a few vets in town and never have had such horrible customer service. My dogs are my children and I wouldn’t trust them in their hands ever again!

My dog’s trachea collapsed last summer & his tongue was blue from lack of oxygen. I rushed him to the vet BUT they had just closed. Cars were still at the back of the building so I pounded on the back door. A young technician came out and told me they were closed and gave me the address to the after hours vet. Knowing that he would not survive, I pleaded with her to help him. That’s when the doctor stepped outside saw him and rushed him inside. They put him on oxygen, gave him some meds to calm him down, stabilized him & called a “pet ambulance” to transport him to the Emergency Vet. He spent 11 days in the ICU. My boy Lucca would not be here today if it wasn't for the wonderful doctors at Valley Ranch Animal Hospital.

My dog Bear recently lost her eyesight, and the doctors at VRAH were quick to diagnose her condition, prescribe medications, and recommend local animal eye doctor for advance consultation.

I’m EXTREMELY picking with who I allow to see my two pitbulls. One is an American Staffy and the other a Bull Staffy. Both very sweet girls. The doctors hear a Valley Ranch Animal Hospital take their time with you and answer every question you have. You don’t feel rushed. I think the prices are fair and they do not push services on you. Being a pit mom you will have not only people but Drs that will treat you different, that’s not the case with these Drs. So far I’m extremely happy and I really like Dr.Emilie Dours.
