3 minutes late so my appointment was canceled. They have a 5-10 minute late policy if you’re 5 minutes late don’t bother showing up.

If you're early or on time expect they'll keep you waiting over 40 minutes after your scheduled time to start. Your time and pet's health are worthless to them.

I've spent well over $3,000 here and was coming here for over 3 years.

Jan 2021 UPDATE:
My review for Dr. H remains the same - however, I am updating my comments due to my recent communication with the front desk staff. I am currently travelling and wanted to ask Dr. H about a medication that was prescribed to my little one. I didn't want a diagnosis or any other examination as I'm out of the Country until the borders re-open. The clerk who answered the phone would NOT allow me to ask any questions, nor send an email to Dr. H - my vet of choice for my little one's life. Neither empathy, sympathy nor any other caring attitude was conveyed other than I was wasting her time. I wanted only to get Dr. H's thoughts on the medication that was prescribed for Little Bit's heart while I was out of the country (Dr. H IS my little one's Doctor) and I wasn't given the opportunity to ask him a question directly. Dr. H has ALWAYS reached out to make sure Little Bit was healthy. He very well may have responded to say that I needed to discuss my question with the vet from abroad that prescribed the medication. But I was not even afforded that communication with my dog's own Veterinarian - I'm not certain how the front desk staff have the type of authority where they - alone - can decide which clients can speak to their own veterinarian? VERY different Customer Service since my last visit in 2020. Too bad.

This Review was from 2020
It's very rare to find a Veterinarian that makes you feel so lucky to have found them! Dr. Hyun (Dr. "H") at VCA All Creatures is that person! My baby girl is 12 and my every day joy! I relocated back to the Desert this month and found that my favorite vet had gone to NC. I visited no less than 3 hospitals and met each of the Veterinarians to experience their 'bedside manner' so-to-speak, in order to decide who I was going to trust to care for my little one. The minute Dr. H walked into the room, I KNEW. His smile meets his eyes; he is so genuinely caring about my girl and I didn't hesitate to book the procedure with him. Little Bit is an older girl, so I was extremely anxious about her going 'under', but EVERY single person I met at VCA All Creatures was NICE, smiling and still professional (it CAN happen!). Dr. H not only called me personally both BEFORE & AFTER surgery to let me know how Little Bit was doing, he ALSO called me the evening after I picked her up to follow up and ensure all was well. I can't say enough about this hospital and all of the team! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hyun and VCA All Creatures - they will set your mind and heart at ease that you have finally found the right place! THANK YOU!!

During covid-19 pandemic 2020:
I should have wrote this a few years ago but I forgot all about it for getting very worried of my dog (she was a puppy, when I first brought her in). So it started off when I brought her in the lobby and adding my puppy on the waiting list and wanting to see a doctor right away for my puppy having a broken front left leg. The front desk was asking me simple question that was easy enough to enough. Right until the last question, he ended it with saying if my puppy was spaced. I got furious because I told him why would I do that to 8 months old puppy that hasn't fully grown yet. He continues to repeat the same question over and over and I kept telling him that she's still a puppy why would I put her through that. So it became an argument with the guy. Then I waited in the lobby for an hour or so and got called in. The nurse and doctor took my puppy to see what can they do to her. A few minutes passed and one of the nurse came in and told me that they would have to CUT OFF her leg or else she won't be able to walk anymore. So yeah, I got very furious when he told me that part ?. And on top of that he told me that it'll cost me almost $1000 to do the operation and may not survive after. I told him is there another way to not CUT OFF her leg and they told me that they can just give me medicine for her pain. And I told them I rather take the medicine instead of having her leg CUT OFF. Then the nurse went back to get an estimate of the price and came back to tell me that it was going to $900 to just get the medicine with the leg supporter. I told them that very ridiculous for a price that high. I asked them is there a way to pay in payments. Then the doctor came in while I was talking about payments and she said no payments, must be upfront. I told them that I'm not going to get any help from you people because all you guys care about is money and not care about my puppy's leg. So after this charging my puppy, a lady heard and saw what was happening and helped me out with the medicine and the leg supporter for my puppy. I didn't wanted her to help me because it didn't felt right but she told me that to not worry about it because these people are expensive and won't accept any payments even if we're in a pandemic situation. I was very grateful and relieved for her help. After that happening, the front desk handed me patient's paperwork. And on there, I saw that they added that I refused to give my puppy the operation that they asked. Technically, the doctor twisted my own words to hers. Now that got me really pissed off because I never refused it. I only declined that request because the operation was too expensive and they weren't sure if she would survive. So, this is the reason why I'm writing this review so you people can see what kind of hospital they really are. Not to mention how upfront they want to get paid instead of doing payments.

While she was getting treated at home with the medicine that the lady helped me out with and with the leg supporter, I was noticing much improvements. Even though she was using her broken leg as a weapon to play fight with her other siblings lol ?. Her leg was improving more when days were passing by. And a few months later, she was able to run, walk and grow without doing the stupid operation. It was all thanks to the praying that my wife and I had been doing and God was able to heal her without having her leg to get CUT OFF. We were and still are very thankful that his power could did a miracle to our puppy.

Half of 2020 til now, she's running wild and free. Her name is Sophie Ballardo, that was able to survive without the operation.

They are so caring and wonderful. Been going there for 25 years and 6 dogs.
Piper the 13in Beagle just stayed 2 weeks with them when we had to make emergency trip back East. Loved my daily photos of him they texted. Thanks!!!

This was the first time bringing my dog to the vet and the staff here was so friendly and made me and my puppy feel comfortable. The doctor was super friendly with a great sense of humor and the girls were very gentle and patient with my puppy. They even gave me info on how to get 30 days free pet insurance along with additional info. I would recommend them to anyone that has a pet.

This was my first time at VCA All Creatures and I had an incredibly positive experience. From the time I first called, to the friendly way I was greeted dropping off my little one, to the personal talk I had with Dr Fenton, right through to picking back up my dog who was treated (and cured) for all issues. It was a short notice appointment because my dog had been bitten on the nose, and the staff led by Andie were incredibly accommodating and helped me feel very calm and confident during a scary situation for my dog. I’m now making this location my regular vet for all my pet needs, and I can’t speak highly enough of them!

I tend not to give poor reviews, but I must say I don't know what to think about my visits to VCA in La Quinta. I've been going there with my dog for a year and a half and have found my experience with two previous vets to be all right, but not particularly outstanding - felt like the vets were "phoning it in", but I figured they're busy and didn't think much of it. I recently took my dog in for a heartworm test. My dog is reactive to other dogs when he's on leash, as if commonly the case. I was surprised when the vet took my dog to the back where I presume there were other animals around rather than going into one of the private exam rooms. All of a sudden I looked up and the vet was standing there letting me know that "my doggie" needed to come back and be drugged in order to draw blood. I asked if I could be there with my dog and was told categorically "No - he's not that kind of doggie". What? The vet had never seen my dog before, my animal was put in a situation where he was set up to fail and then I was told I'd need to drug him. Maybe this is a case of poor communication, but I was gobsmacked, frankly. I felt like I was being told that there was going to be one way things would proceed and there was no attempt to work with either me or my pet. The word callous comes to mind when I think of my experience. I will seek care for my wonderful dog elsewhere.
