A wonderful experience with our two cats at VCA Bellevue. Everyone was so welcoming and patient with our cats who were a little shy at first. Took time to hear our concerns and provided great instruction. Highly recommend.

The BEST groomer we have been to in Washington state. Harrison is AMAZING and does such an incredible job with our dog. I am extremely selective when it comes to groomers, and have tried so many places both in Bellevue and Seattle. Harrison tops them all. You do not need to be a patient of VCA to see Harrison here (although the VCA staff are also amazing). Harrison takes the time to really get to know you and your dog and will deliver the not only the best groom, but also makes the experience as easy and relaxing on your dog as possible. My dog was so stressed by groomers, and since seeing Harrison, gets better and better each time. This dog groomer is the best kept secret in Bellevue.

although their care plan is double the price compared to that of petsmart, but its just feel so like home and people there are always there for you, gentle nd care for you nd your pet. Feel like nothing that i need to worry about everytime i go there. I take both my cats nd dogs there, they have done a great job so far. Responsible nd private.

Highly recommend the grooming services. Harrison does a good job with my Samoyed’s double coated groom. Have had several grooms at this place. Prices fairly for quality of work. This location is close near me in Bellevue Washington & very close to Redmond Washington. Definitely the best groomer in Bellevue & Redmond area. Clean facilities & nice haircut / scissor work. Very happy with the service.

I've only been in a handful of times for general check ups/vaccines but this staff is so wonderful! My dog Theo adores coming and they treated him so sweet, and remember him even though we've only been in a few times. Our first time we went in because of allergies and they helped him out quickly and were super clear with me on what was going on. I also brought my cat in, who lost her mind and was absolutely a nut, and they were so kind and understanding and helped me get her in a carrier and sent me home with steps to make her next visit more productive. Absolute sweeties, and they texted to check back in on Theo's progress!

Like most my dog is my baby and I'm stupidly over protective. It had been done time since I had taken him in and needed to find a vet in Bellevue. After checking out reviews I found VCA and I'm so glad. Everyone was so great! I find myself saying that customer service is a dying breed just because so many people clearly don't care anymore. The staff made a point to make me feel welcome and gave so much love to my pup. Thank you all!!

I can never trust VCA with the care of my cat. We started the regular checkup visit 8 minutes early (a sign they weren't backed up).
There were two assistants (one a shadowing new hire). The experienced one seemed quite distressed, speaking unusually loud and in a hurry, missing important concerns. For example, our concern was that the cat is now overeating since we switched to the diet VCA prescribed, gaining weight very fast and is now overweight. Her reaction was that this is great news that she likes the food. No, once again, that's the problem right now.

She spoke so unusually loud, that inside that super tiny room, I was feeling I was going to faint from so much pounding on my ear drums. This was going on for too long so we asked her nicely, and apologized profusely, that it would help to lower her voice a bit as the cat was super scared and trying to hide. Despite our repeated apologies, she seemed offended, and I was still getting overwhelmed from that pounding sound.

She took our cat away for a regular blood and urine draw. 15 minutes pass and I start wondering what's going on, since this duration is unusual and nobody came to talk to us. I open the back door (to the area where customers aren't supposed to be) and start shouting "Hello!". Three times, to no avail. The place is deserted and everything feels now surreal.

20+ minutes have passed at this point, so I go back to reception and demand my cat back. Their response is this is taking long because they're drawing blood, so I ask how many gallons is that?
Finally, they bring my cat back, and the doctor (dr. Irene Vanderwerff) is blaming me for being angry. She points out two times that I'm angry. She couldn't comprehend that I was worried for my cat. She goes "we were busy taking care of your cat, but it looks like we should take care of you", implying that my well-placed concern for my cat's wellbeing is harming her. I explain that taking my cat away so that I cannot see what they're doing to her is already a significant leap of trust, but then to disappear indefinitely like that for a routine procedure is not ok. She explains that they've been trying to find the cat's vein for 20 minutes and they didn't find one in this timeframe.

Can you imagine your cat, your child, or yourself being held down forcefully by a team of people for 20+ minutes, while another is poking you repeatedly trying to find your veins? And then they gaslight you for finding this concerning?

This is not how care works! Not even remotely!

P.S. How is this entire traumatic experience of a regular checkup supposed to cost $770? But because they didn't find the vein and I stopped them after 20+ minutes, we "only" paid $440.
