The staff here at VCA are such kind & knowledgeable people. I adopted my kitten Sweetie in August of last year; my family has had pets all my life but Sweetie was my first time raising a pet completely on my own. I've been taking her to VCA since I first got her, & I would 100% recommend their kitten Care Club package if you can afford it. Being able to message a vet anytime & to also know that her spay and other important first year milestones would be covered under the plan has been such a lifesaver.

Recently, Sweetie went in for her spay & managed to wiggle out of not just a cone but also the surgical recovery suit I got her, and chewed through her stitches the very first night. Bringing her back in the next morning was nerve-racking, but Dr. Eva, her vet, was completely understanding and was more than happy to go over our options for making sure she wouldn't reopen them a second time. I was worried about the cost of her second visit since she had to stay most of the day and this was definitely outside of her care plan, but the clinic was kind enough to discount her stay and as of today she's been resting and recovering wonderfully!

My only complaint would be that, especially right now due to COVID, the staff can be a bit overworked and the location is very busy; but even then, they're always very apologetic for the wait and I've never felt unwelcome.

Aside from her in person visits, the 24/7 messaging service offered by the Care Club plan has also been quick, professional, and so helpful for any questions I had about how much to feed her, what product to best use to keep her from eating our plants, and anything else that I was fretting about and sought advice on.

Thank you again to Dr. Eva & everyone else at the Blossom Hill clinic for being rad. ?

A couple of years ago, I brought my kitten Binks to VCA blossom hill due to problems with urination. Binks hadn't urinated all day, so I took him to the vet immediately. When we arrived, they took Binks to the back while I waited in the room. A female doctor returned and informed me that they had attempted to insert a catheter, but since Binks was so small, they had to use a paper clip!

Shortly after, she came running back to tell me that Binks had stopped breathing and asked if I wanted them to perform CPR. I consented, but a few minutes later, they informed me that Binks had passed away.

The following day, they called me to charge for the appointment and the disposal of Binks' body. Considering the circumstances, I refused to pay. When I picked up Binks a couple of days later, they handed me a box that had an awful smell, suggesting improper storage. The staff member are extremely rude they gave me the box did not offer any apologies or express any condolences.

I was deeply dissatisfied with the lack of care and compassion shown by the staff during such a difficult time. I cannot recommend VCA blossom hill based on my experience.

I've been taking my pets to this location most of my life, and they've always been great! Dr. Hare is super patient and kind to both the animals and their human companions. This particular visit I was getting my 5 years old chihuahua mix Sirius caught up on his vaccinations. To say he was anxious is the understatement of the year! When Dr. Hare was listening to his lungs and heart he freaked out and started barking at the stethoscope. Really he hadn't stopped barking since we walked into the clinic save for a few moments he stopped to catch his breath so he could start barking again with renewed vigor. I kept apologizing to her for him barking like that, but she said it wasn't a problem. He barked thru the 3 shots they had to give him. When the vet tech brought him up to the front where I was waiting said the vet wondered if we'd be interested in something to calm him down since we have to go back in 3 weeks got a booster shot. Oh my goodness I was so grateful that she asked, because I was dreading having both my pooch and I having to deal with all the stress and anxiety again in 3 weeks.

I called this place to make an appointment for a cat I adopted from the shelter because they gave a complimentary first health exam within 14 days of adoption coupon. The person on the phone gave an appointment 15 days after adoption because of their busy schedule, then told me my coupon was no good because the appointment would be 1 day after the 14 days.

I call a different VCA slightly further away who had an appointment 16 days later, and they happily explained that they would honor the the offer given it is only 2 days later.

A week later this VCA at Blossom Hill called me back saying they would give my pet a complimentary exam because of new adoption. I return their call, and the person on the phone claims they never called me and repeatedly says they won't honor the offer. Eventually I got through to someone who explained they would honor the complimentary first visit, but would not honor the complimentary follow up care for if a serious problem was found.

By this point the appointments they were offering were significantly later dates. Could just be I got unlucky with whoever answered the phone twice, but I am not so sure I would trust these people to handle my pet given how disorganized they were on the phone.

for whatever reason the vet didnt let me stay in the room while they were giving him a rabies/distemper vaccine. (covid isnt a valid excuse as I was literally already in the room with the doctor for several minutes, so it's not like another couple minutes would have reduced the exposure risk by a significant amount).

I told them that the process would go alot smoother with me in the room with him (he's a well behave dog, and has gotten vaccines in the past with no drama besides a whine).

They took my dog to the back room for the vaccines. I heard a bunch of screaming from him(dog), and then the sound of a bunch of stuff (sounded like dog crates) falling over.

When they brought him back to me he was missing a nail, and they told me that his nails and too long and thats why it fell off. Thing is in 10+ years he has never lost a nail, only way i can see that happening is if they struggled with him on a surface with a bunch of holes in it (on top of a dog create or table with holes punched in it). I obviously dont know what surface they did it on, but it was obviously not stable and his claw managed to get snapped on something, otherwise it wouldnt have been ripped off.

this was about a year ago, but writing this review now as while the nail grew back, the new one fell off a few minutes before writing this review. I was pissed at the time with how they treated him, and hurting him, but it now seems as if they caused long lasting damage to his nail bed, and i'm not quite a fan of that. ya it's just a nail, nothing serious, but im more concerned with the behavior/decisions that lead to the damage.

would suggest finding a different vet. though thats just my experience.

if you love your animal, don’t take them here. they only care about making money. took my boy for a routine heartworm checkup in between paychecks. he had the appointment for a month or two so it was important to keep, when i asked if i could make a hefty down payment and then pay the rest in a few days, the front desk staff shook their heads profusely and embarrassed me in the waiting area. they told me they could just not see him and i could come back. i ended up using my credit card, no big deal, but it was the way they almost turned me and my son (dog) away. additionally Dr. Lee wasn’t even there to answer my questions, the vet tech was and he had no answers for my questions about which dog food they recommend. they seemed to have no knowledge about this, which was odd. overall bad experience with them and it was our second visit. they only want your money, they don’t care about your pet which is not right.
