I recently had the pleasure of visiting Blum Animal Hospital with my beloved cat, Tygrys, and I must say, my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and assured that my pet's well-being was in capable hands.

Dr. Lindsay Creger, the attending veterinarian, immediately struck me as a remarkable professional. Her straightforward demeanor and extensive knowledge instilled confidence in me right from our first interaction. Despite my initial belief that Tygrys was suffering from an inflammation of his canine tooth, Dr. Creger wisely advised me to conduct a blood work for a comprehensive understanding of his condition. Regrettably, I didn't heed her advice initially, but I quickly realized the error of my judgment.

As it turned out, Tygrys's ailment was not solely related to his tooth, as I had presumed. Dr. Creger's insight and expertise led to the identification of other underlying issues that could have gone undetected without her thorough examination. I am immensely grateful for her guidance and wish I had listened to her recommendation sooner.

The dedication and genuine interest shown by the entire staff at Blum Animal Hospital toward Tygrys's health were truly commendable. They went above and beyond to ensure his well-being and provided me with regular updates on his progress. It's evident that they genuinely care about the pets they treat, and this level of compassion is invaluable to pet owners like myself.

Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Blum Animal Hospital to anyone seeking exceptional veterinary care for their furry companions. Dr. Creger's professionalism, coupled with the hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate service, has earned my complete trust. I am grateful for their outstanding care and wouldn't hesitate to entrust my pets health to them in the future.

I wish nothing but the worst to all of you involved for the rest of your lives. Treated my cats well until they didn't. It was great for the first five years I gave you my trust and money and most importantly, my cats. We had an amazing vet for was very kind and caring. then he left. After that, you'd be lucky if you saw they same vet twice, they can't hold on to vets. My cat took a sudden turn and needed care. within less than 12 hours they gave her two rounds of fluid, I had no idea of the risks of why thats not ok. less than 24 hours later, she died from fluid on her heart. I wish nothing but the worst to all of you involved for the rest of your lives. RIP Nova, you deserved better. I'll warn everyone I can.

All the people I have encountered during scheduling, reminders and my dogs visit were very nice and helpful. They treated me and my dog respectfully.

The wellness examine fee is $108. But they only spent 8-10 mins to exam my cat, including vaccination. It’s the shortest visit that I’ve ever had. They told me to take the form, and stool sample. But no test at all. Remember to show them their ads that first visit is free. No one reminds you to save money. After a few visits, I’m disappointed with all Chicago vets. You spending more money but get worse service and care than other states. The echo and specialist are much more expensive. Good luck to all pets.

0/10. I do not recommend. They are racist, not helpful, or informative. I overheard the staff taking about African Americans and Hispanics stating that they never have money to do anything. Which is very distasteful! Why not offer more affordable places then? Management is even worse. They do not care about their clients or patients! I would never bring my cat here again. Once your pet go to the “back” whatever that means , you will hear them crying from the lobby. I thought this was a fear- free practice ?!

Blum Vet is a great place to bring your pet. We’ve been going here for 6 years now after moving to Chicago and have watched their continued growth and enhancement.

Scheduling the appointment online was a breeze. There’s a cat entrance and dog entrance, with half-walled waiting areas that eases any stress your pet might otherwise have from overstimulation. There are also hooks on the reception desk (see photo) to place leashes if you need them.

As part of our visit, my cat received a complimentary toy and was given lots of treats.

The care that Blum provides is stellar! The staff are extremely attentive. During our vaccination visit, they checked my cat’s weight, teeth, musculature, nails, ears, etc. and vocalized observations and status on his health.

If you can, book your cat’s next visit with Dr. Hudson.

I have been going to Blum since 2001. Dr Georgesen has been there pretty much the whole time. She always greets me with a smile and a hug and addresses my concerns with compassion and a sense of humor when it's called for. I arrived early for my appointment yesterday and didn't wait to long before Toby and I were taken back to the room. Toby got his checkup and shots and we were out in less than 40 minutes.

I can't imagine taking my pet anywhere else. When I call with questions the staff is helpful and friendly. When I bring my dog for appointments it's always a very pleasant atmosphere (even if my dog is being disruptive). What can I say? I love Blum! They are the best.

Blum Animal Hospital always exceeds my expectations. I have two greyhounds, which in case you’re not aware, they have different blood chemistries than other canines, and they always take the time to talk about the differences with me and don’t compare my dogs to just any other dog. Even when our regular vet is not available, we still receive quality care from the other veterinarians and staff members. Thanks for taking care of my two greyhounds and making us feel a part of the Blum Family.
