I have not visited this vet in a while. I moved cities and I now have a new vet that treats my dog so well he actually loves seeing the vet. The more I visit my new vet, the more I am reminded on how much I did not like this place. The last and final time I brought my dog here, he came back with a bloody lip and when I confronted them they told me “he came in like that”. He did NOT. If he did, why as a vet would you not notice and treat that? Because again, I didn’t bring him to you like that. This was the final straw for me. He had been wearing an e-collar for a week and obviously I would know if he has been bleeding prior because it was quite a bit of blood. I still get furious every time I think about this experience I have had with them. Although my dog being injured while at the vet was my biggest concern, I can’t ignore the hefty price tag that came with my visits. After I switched vets my new vet care team are so much more gentle and don’t charge and come up with unnecessary tests I should be running. My dog is doing the best he’s ever done and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg to get him to his healthiest. Find yourself an honest vet and not one that tries to operate on your fear. They scared me into getting tests I never even needed. This is a photo of his face after I cleaned him up a bit and cleaned the blood off his e-collar.

Brought my newly adopted kitten for her initial check up and had a great experience! Everyone was kind and educational. I was seen quickly and I’m grateful to now have a wonderful, neighborhood vet!

The best experience every time I visit . It brightened my day to see my rabbit son's name on the welcome board in the entry on the exotic pets side of VCA. Pup is always greeted and cared for in such a caring manner. This rabbit is my only "child" and he enjoys each visit.

Can’t say that I enjoyed our first visit. The doctor was fine and slightly personable as well as his assistant but the support staff was very dry with us. I wouldn’t say that I would feel comfortable bringing my dog back.

I walked in through the doors of Briarcliff Animal Hospital at around 12:50am with my 13+ yr old shihtzu.
I broke down in tears at the register explaining that something was wrong.

The emergency doc on for the night was Dr. Bezdek. She came in and explained all the possibilities and brought 3 treatment plans depending on cost.
Dr. Bezdek’s first suspicion was pancreatitis and she turned out to be right. My baby had to be hospitalized for 2 days while getting IV fluids, pain meds, and other meds. She was discharged on a few different medications for 3-5 days.

I visited her a few times while she was in the ER.
They let me visit all hours of the day/night. And they’d let me stay in a room with her to spend time.
The vets and vet assistants were so nice and caring... I felt at ease that she was being well cared for.

I see a lot of reviews referring to cost and lack of communication with their bill.
For me, that was never the case. They were upfront about all the costs, brought me an itemized statement with that day’s estimated cost as well as future costs. And explained of the possibility of changes and that they’d call me if anything were to change with my bill.
I noticed a sign in the rooms as well— to ask if you have any questions or concerns on the bill.
If your pet is without insurance, I think it should be expected that the cost/bill will be very high.

The vet called 2-3 times per day with updates at the beginning and the end of their shift.
Communication was great from beginning to end.
They also sent me a picture of her in her cage on one of the days ! I thought this was such a sweet thing.

The docs I most communicated with was Dr. Bezdek, Dr. Powell and Dr. Rehm.
They were all very nice and thorough and it was easy to trust my baby in their care.

They even called twice to follow up after her discharge. She is currently doing very well and is almost back to her normal self.

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied and my sweet girl would agree.
They always answered the hundreds of questions I had or led me to someone who could.

If anything were to happen again (praying not), I’ll definitely be taking her here!

I just took my 2 year old dog, Piper, there for the first time and was so impressed with how it went. First, everyone in the lobby was welcoming and warm (my dog loved Kevin in particular) and went out of their way to make my timid dog feel comfortable. The Dr was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Also, this is the first time a vet has had me check out and pay while still in the exam room and it’s genius. It’s so much easier than trying to do that one handed in a lobby with other animals. ?. Thank you Briarcliff!

I’ve been going for years, I have to go a lot for various different reasons. overall just a bunch of really nice folks. It’s not a glamorous place and I wouldn’t say the vets are exceptional, but they are nice and I can usually get in pretty short notice.
Also the VCA App. is very helpful for making appointments and keeping track of things.

I usually go to another location. I must say that Briarcliff didn't let us down. Sammy and Chance were happy and well taken care of. We recommend and will definitely use them again.
