It was due to unfortunate and unexpected reasons I required visiting VCA for emergency services for two visits in less than 24 hours for my very old dog. Both times, the staff, from the receptionists to vet techs to veterinarians, were incredibly compassionate and delicate during our heartbreaking moments.
They had to provide heartbreaking news, gave me a little more time before having to let my fur baby cross the rainbow bridge.

In 2020, I took my 3 year old dog to get a tooth removal and teeth cleaning. He died in the routine operation. We were completely shocked and saddened. His ashes, which we had to pay some hundreds of dollars to get (from another company), are still sitting on my mantel. Miss you buddy ?

I understand sometimes accidents happen under anesthesia. I consulted with an anesthesiologist (human) friend of mine who has practiced without ever having lost a patient. He found it very unusual and had a lot of questions. I never received details on the aesthetics used and it is my understanding that I never will due to poor medical records in veterinary medicine.

Hopefully you have more success than I did. I always found them nice but we have switched to another vet for the care of our animals, obviously.

I just want to say that Kayla, the hospital manager, is one of the most compassionate people I've met in a long time. I recently lost my 18 1/2 year old dog Champ?Things didn't go as planned when it came to the cremation services. But let me tell you, Kayla made EVERYTHING right and was so kind! I appreciate her kindness in a horrible situation. I'm so thankful for all she has done for myself and my family. It really means a lot. If you're looking for compassion when it comes to a VET, I definitely recommend this specific location! Thank you again Kayla ❤️

Clinical staff is great and regret having to leave but after 3 years of hassling with admin group every time I need a RX approved by an online vendor, I'm done.

For 3 years running I have tried to understand how they want the flow of information handled but every time it ends with them rejecting the authorization. Then I have to call the office (takes multiple tries to get and answer or leave a message and wait days for return call) wait for them to talk to the right person who never seems to be available, create a bunch of new obstacles and eventually get it done. I even discussed this with the vet tech this last visit and asked for help. She said she noted the file, but here we are again 'chasing our tail'

Took my cat in for his stomach issues. The vet took a sample of his poop and told us he had a bad stomach virus. She prescribed Metrodazole for him. I only gave it to him for two days and on the third day my cat died ? I know it’s from the meds because he stopped walking around and was dizzy. My cat was walking around before and after giving him the meds I noticed he was getting worse.
I don’t know about medicine and was only trying to make my cat feel better and the stupid medicine killed him.
I feel this place is only after money. The visit and meds were so expensive and even after I called to let them know my cat died and if I can leave him there they still wanted to charge me $250. They have NO heart.
Now I’m stuck with the medicine that I only gave him for two days and they won’t refund me my money.
Im very upset and broken hearted my poor cat died. ?

We had a good experience and I’d award five stars with the exception of different information coming from staff. In general I thought it was done with good intent for the dog. The issue was the immediacy of obtaining X-rays. The dr mentioned waiting a week or 20 days and then the staff mentioned that we should do immediately to expedite recovery. Diagnostics are not inexpensive or sometimes conclusive. I’m fortunate that I can afford paying a level of service for our animal but I understand waiting to see if they can heal, if there isn’t an immediate need for possible inconclusive, expensive, diagnostics. It’s always tough making decisions like this when you are on a limited income so you want consistent information to base your decisions. That said good caring sympathetic staff and dr.

if i could give more than 5 starts i would. my fiancé and i had to take our beloved fur baby in to get checked out before scheduling his neutering appointment. the place was so welcoming and had a very comforting, homey feel to it. staff was friendly and professional. the room we ended up in had treats and a comfort-blanket with little toys waiting for him. Dally was so mellow the whole time, which was unexpected because he is usually very hyper (as he is only a kitten). they went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and told us about each step they were on throughout the process, and were very gentle with him. the process was pretty quick overall. i have nothing but positive things to say about this experience and i will gladly take my baby boy here for any and all of his needs in the future! would 100% recommend.

All 5 of my animals are happy patients. Wonderful vet, thorough care. They are extremely busy now so appointment dates are limited, but being booked 2-3 weeks out is pretty normal for most places now. Good, knowledgeable staff. Easy to get medications.
