They left my dog's IV in today.
After being referred here by another vet for my dog's seizures, we left with no answers and no treatment plan other than to go somewhere else. We also asked for medication for my dog's ear infection, which the Dr. forgot about.
This is not what I have a problem with. What I am furious about is that they left the IV in my dog's arm, not once mentioning it was still in there. Her arm wasn't shaved, so the tape ripped out her fur no matter how carefully we took it off. This is a very disgusting treatment of an animal you are supposed to care for.
Leaving an IV inside of a patient is dangerous and lazy. You can't even say it was out of convenience for a future veterinarian to use, as they don't. You wouldn't send a human home with their IV still in. Why is it okay to do to a dog?

Let down after let down at this Vet. Confirmation email says appointment at 12:20. I get there at 1215. In a patient room until 1245 before going back up to the front desk, because it's a vet, right? No one can predict how the day is gonna pan out with extended appointments, emergencies and so on. They said my appointment wasn't until 1230 anyway, weird. Saw a vet tech at 1255 then waited another 10 min before leaving. Just set the expectation right away, "hey, so and so is running behind today there will be a little wait". Most hospitals have a board that let's you know if your provider is on time. I don't think I've ever seen a vet here within 15 min of my scheduled appointment. Spent a lot of time and a substantial amount of money at this vet. Time to move on.

Started coming to this vet because of their dentist. My dog needed to have a deep dental cleaning and because of his age and heart condition I wanted to make sure he got the best care by board certified veterinarians. Dr. Ken and Dr. Grimm did a wonderful job getting his dental health on track so that he would have many more years to spend with us. I am eternally grateful to the entire team at Deer Creek Hospital that was involved in taking care of my baby and returning him safely to me.

I had a senior dog of 12.5 years that in early January 2025 I established as a new patient with Deer Creek Animal Hospital. He had been having some issues and I wanted to have a clinic close by in case he needed them. I set up an initial visit with one of the doctors and he was very thorough and suggested some bloodwork and an ultrasound. Dr. Lupe listened to me about my dogs history and what was going on. I was very comfortable with his recommendations as I was seeking answers as to why my boy wasn’t feeling good. Several days later he had the ultrasound which showed a softball size tumor on his liver. Very sad day for me and my pup as he was my best friend.
I can tell you that the staff at Deer Creek was incredible from the day I went in to make his 1st appointment to picking up his Urn. Their kindness and compassion was very touching and they helped me make the decision to put my boy out of pain more acceptable. From every phone call to visit and afterwards they were helpful and I’m grateful to them.
Thank you.

Our 8 month old 50 lb puppy hurt her back leg/hip because she likes to jump four feet into the air like an idiot.

She wouldn’t put any weight on it, was visibly in a lot of pain, and wouldn't take her fav treat.

From our panicked phone call, to leaving the clinic— Everyone was really kind, informative, helpful and very sweet with our puppy.

Highly recommended!!! Thanks to everyone who helped us and Nora today.

Deer Creek did an amazing job on our Foster Great Dane’s laparoscopic neuter and gastropexy. They care so much about the animals, and working with the rescues to ensure giving all of the second chance animals the best shot at a great new life. Our foster dog hasn’t tried to touch any of the surgery sites yet in 3 days, Dr. Markee Kuschel did such a clean job. Thank you so much for all you do! ❤️

Total waste of time and money, missed advanced cancer in my pet. Took my elderly cat in for blood in her stool and acting like she felt bad. Vet gave her a cursory exam, checked her blood and urine for infection and kidney, didn’t bother checking the stool sample they told us to bring, found nothing and sent us home with expensive cat foot and probiotics. ($450 visit) Took a week to call me back about blood and urine test results. 3 weeks later the cat was acting much worse so we took her to a different vet who quickly found a mass in her abdomen that could have been constipation, but turned out to be a tumor. Since my cat is far too old for invasive surgery, all I can do is make her comfortable. New vet gave her a thorough exam, an x-ray to see what the (not poop) mass was, subcutaneous fluids, anti-nausea and pro-appetite medications, steroids, and called the next day to follow up. We are providing end of life care now, she is much more comfortable even with terminal cancer, and I would never have known she was dying or how I needed to be helping her if I had taken this vet’s word for it. My poor cat suffered for weeks she didn’t have to! Shameful!

My dog got attacked by a terrier type dog at Chatfield Dog Park today, 1/26/25. His intestines/subQ tissue was out of his body & I had to push them back into his body before transporting him here (on a Sunday afternoon). They IMMEDIATELY had him back in the OR, and spent 6 hours working on him.

After internal and external stitches (I’m assuming 30+), he was released from the PACU to me. As a former paramedic, and a current police officer; I was blown away by the professionalism, bedside manner, and impeccable, expert surgical work from my surgeon. I wish I remembered her name - but she was incredible.

If there is any way for me to personally contact my surgeon to thank her, please let me know. My file is under this name, and my dog is named Jezza. Please have her email or call me so I can express my gratitude for her expertise.

I would HIGHLY recommend this location. I walked in carrying my 10 month old black lab (bleeding from a deep incision) and the front desk staff were incredible in getting my pup back to the sterile environment. The vet techs were caring, compassionate, and kind. However, as previously stated, the surgeon/doctor was flawless. Thank you all for helping out Jezza, and I hope to keep you updated on his recovery.
