The front staff at this location are all great and very responsive when I needed documents emailed and medicines ordered via phone. I had to reduce a star because the doctor required our 1 year old german shepherd, who is very friendly and high energy, take trazodone before coming for any appointment. This is the first time I’ve ever had a vet ask to drug any of my dogs because they didn’t know how to distract him (w.g. With food) for examination and/or vaccinations. I’d rather take him somewhere that knows how to handle social and excitable dogs.

I have used multiple VCA animal hospitals over the last 15 years, and they have all been wonderful. VCA Hawthorn is no exception. They have taken great care of our 3 pets. I love that I can get my dog's monthly medication delivered right to my door each month. Highly recommend!

I was introduced to the VCA Animal Hospital via Fuzzy Pet who was able to give a telemed diagnose for my oldest Min PIN compared to my previous Vet. And the experience has been great especially the Care Club.

Worst animal hospital I experienced in my life. I am a owner of 3 animals and got reported to the county by these people for a biting that didn't occur. I didn't agree to anything, but yet they send a lady from the county to harassed me. BEWARE to bring your animals here and you might reported to the county and on top of end up paying for the services I was there to receive as a paying customer. Never bringing my animals to be put at danger by people like this!!

My poor Paco was very sick one morning and I called they booked an appointment that day and got him on meds right away. He was super dehydrated and not himself. They brought the spunk back to my baby!! Always super friendly staff! They are always so happy to see Paco which makes his anxiousness a zero when we go. Thank you VCA for loving my baby just as I do! 😊

I have never had better animal care than I do at VCA Hawthorn. I am always able to get an appointment when needed, the care is amazing from all the staff, Dr. Marrinan is always friendly and personable. I can't express my gratitude to this amazing group of caregivers!
