Make sure to get exact prices for all services they propose before the treatment is performed. Ask for exact costs. The vet was not clear about costs of shots she proposed. Cat got seen right away. I declined the $450 x-rays. Exam fee was $175. Staff was helpful, and did seem genuinely concerned about my animal. Gave a frank assessment of the euthanasia option.

My dog was hospitalized for pancreatitis at VCA for several days. I really felt like their vets and techs were practical and sensitive. They collaborated with my primary veterinary to avoid costly diagnostics that were already performed and I appreciate that their staff text cost updates daily and the veterinarian on shift called twice a day with updates about my Ravioli. Unfortunately, the disease was too much for my little senior dog and I had to make the hard decision. Dr. Richter was very kind and compassionate and honest with me about Ravioli’s prognosis, and gave me all the time I needed to say good bye. We moved to a comfortable room with soft ocean waves playing and a big comfy couch, and each room has a call button system so I didn’t have to leave my little guy to call for assistance. They trimmed a lock of hair from my pup at my request, and I ordered a paw print with his cremation. I was able to pick up his ashes about a week and a half later, notified by text (which i appreciated greatly). The cremains were in a wooden box of my choosing, then placed inside a nice velvet bag within a paper “gift” bag. Everything was labeled with his name and a bar code to make sure I got my pet back.

Obviously no one wants to say good bye to their best friend, but I am incredibly grateful to the VCA MECA team for being there when we needed it. I feel like both my dog and I were treated with the utmost respect and I would recommend their services to anyone who may need them.

We took our dog in around midnight and due to his condition we were able to be seen right away. Doctor Shimon was very empathetic and attentive to our dog’s needs and provided him adequate care. He shared helpful information and very kind words to give us peace of mind and support. He even followed up by calling a week later to check in on how things were going and expressed that they are always here for us if we need anything else. Thank you for your attentiveness and compassion during such a stressful and scary time.

VCA Milwaukee provided exceptional care when my dog, Lucky, got sick. Not only did the doctors and nurses take care of Lucky, but also took excellent care of me every step of the way during what was a very scary time. I’m impressed with their communication, kindness, they way they listened, and took a conservative yet watchful/cautious approach to do everything possible in order to avoid surgery (no surgery was needed!).

Krysta B was amazing! She let me call her throughout her shift to get updates. I’m grateful for her compassion and calm demeanor, which was very comforting. Dr. Koeppl listened to all my concerns and admitted Lucky- he caught what had been missed by other animal ERs. And Dr. Richter! He didn’t push me to take Lucky home and let me make the decision I was most comfortable with. I knew I trusted him as soon as he walked into the room. He took the time to talk to me and gave me wonderful discharge instructions and updates throughout his shift. I left with Lucky that day confident I knew how to care for him. Dr. Richter’s calm and kind demeanor made gave me the confidence I needed.

I’m so happy I went to VCA Milwaukee that day and I’m very appreciative of everyone’s kindness and assistance. Because of the care Lucky received at VCA Milwaukee, Lucky is now doing great and back to his normal self! We made it home just in time for Lucky’s birthday. Thank you Dr. Koeppl, Krysta B, and Dr. Richter!

We took our dog, Penny, in on a Saturday morning for very worrisome symptoms. We were roomed immediately and Penny was assessed within minutes. Dr. Elliott was transparent about her recommendations and costs, and helped us make decisions for Penny. We are so grateful for the care she received and she has fully recovered, thankfully.

Just took my daughter (pup) for a very scary ER visit. I HAD to write a review for this Angel of a human Dr. Mark Koeppl. We’ve been to almost every ER clinic with our girl as of late and Dr. Koeppl truly is the very best and most caring ER vet- human I have ever met and I wish I could tell the whole world about him! Not only was he extremely informative but his kindness and care for our girl and us was second to none. He truly felt like family. I am SO grateful to have had him. We need more people like this on this planet. Thank you for who you are and your kindness , Dr Koeppl and thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. You are such a gift and anyone who Ioves their fur babies as much as I do, I beg you to please see this doctor and team! The receptionists were also so thoughtful and wonderful and treated us with the utmost respect and kindness despite this fur mama sobbing and losing her mind- receptionist, Sydney me feel so safe and well cared for and I am so beyond grateful that you guys are here and that we were under your amazing care. Bless this entire team. It is extremely evident that each and every one of you were meant to be right where you are and doing what you do and you are all SO very important. To say that I am grateful for you would be such a complete understatement. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby girl and best friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you ♥️
