Former Veterinary care employee here. We called VCA Mueller’s for a medical emergency for our cat, they invited us to come in and knew who we were from the moment we walked in. I am beyond impressed with the level of care we received. We have never been to this hospital before and they treated us like family. Everyone was knowledgeable, compassionate, patient and genuinely seemed to care. They followed up with us the next day and made sure we were taken care of. I haven’t seen this level of customer service in a very long time!

Vca Mueller is exceptional. We brought our beloved pet here for euthanize due to sickness but sadly our sweet Cookie had passed right before we arrived. The love and care they showed us will forever warm our hearts and how they handled our beloved Cookie after life cremation was wonderful with so much care and love. Her urn was engraved it was beyond what we expected. Thankyou for showing us human compassion.

I have been taking my rescued American bully, Dolly, here for 4 years now. It was the vet center the rescue suggested we go to. Dolly developed horrible skin allergies shortly after we adopted her. To the point where she would scratch her head so much she would bleed. Thankfully they were not on her medical history and I’d already gotten her insurance. Though it took some time and trouble shooting, Dr. Klein with VCA has totally healed Dolly’s chronic allergies with the right combination of diet, pharmaceuticals, and vitamins. She hasn’t had a bad outbreak in at least 2 years. Her coat is shiny and healthy and she looks her best even at 9! Dolly goes in every month for her allergy shot and it’s one of her favorite days. All the techs and Dr. Klein are so sweet with her, they’re clearly animal lovers!! She is spoiled for treats!

My advice to others would be to insure your pet as soon as possible! Then you don’t have to worry about money when it comes to your pet’s well being. Whether it comes to chronic conditions or emergencies, I’m 85% covered for 50 bucks a month. I would rather pay that 50 a month to know that if my pet needed 8,000 dollar surgery, I could afford it. Dolly’s chronic preventive meds do add up but it’s better than her being miserable with a skin infection and continually on antibiotics and steroids to treat it curatively. Having insurance has allowed me the financial grace to develop a relationship with Dr. Klein and work to get Dolly where she needed to be. I was in there 6 times a year for vet appointments before we got it solved. Now she just has her yearly check up.

When I took my cat in to get put down I asked the vet tech about the cremation options. They told me the option I selected was that I'd get the ashes back but they'd be mixed with other pet ashes. That sounded ok to me. All they gave me was a piece of paper with boxes to check and there was no other info, but the price (second most expensive option) seemed consistent with that description. When I called weeks later to ask about the status they said I had picked an option where I don't get the ashes back at all and they had already been scattered. I was pretty devastated that I would never get her ashes back, that they had given me the wrong info, and that I'd paid so much to get nothing.

Brought my dog in for a dog exam after she was scratched. They took out 200$ for an “exam” and then proceeded to take 2 hours looking at her just to say she’s fine. One technician offered me a refund but a different one said no refunds.. they don’t communicate effectively nor honor customers time. So yeah save your money and your time. No treatment plan was given to me not emailed to me. Sigh.. what we do for our pets we love . Unfortunately this place takes advantage

UPDATE: The VCA hospital responded to the review asking me to contact them via an email. I did but no further response. It tells you how much they really care.

Avoid this hospital for emergency care. Even if a vet or someone you trust recommended it, like in my case, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. I arrived at 11:30 pm and didn’t leave until around 3:30 am. Despite expecting a busy ER, I saw no other emergencies the entire time, yet I could hear staff laughing in the back. They seemed more interested in getting my pet admitted into their facility than providing the help I actually needed.

I brought my cat in for prolonged diarrhea, hoping for a quick remedy to manage it until I could visit my regular vet in a day after the Sunday. Instead, I waited an hour just to see a doctor, who then suggested treatments I didn’t want or need, like tube feeding and hospitalization. They also claimed my cat had abdominal fluid based on an ultrasound, which my own vet later confirmed was incorrect.

After the doctor left to “put together a plan,” I waited another hour without updates. Finally, someone showed up with an iPad and a $1,500 suggested bill, which included medication my cat was already taking. I had even brought these medications with me, so this was particularly frustrating. When I declined, they disappeared again, saying they'd “check with the doctor,” leaving me waiting yet another hour. The lobby was empty, but I could still hear chatter behind the walls.

When I demanded my cat back and asked again for something to help with the diarrhea, they replied it “depended on how busy they were.” The whole experience felt like a scheme to keep me waiting until we’d agree to whatever they suggested. I finally walked out with a $20 medication and a bill for over $260, feeling like they only cared about pushing their services, not about helping my cat.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for any pet care, especially not for cats. Seek out certified, cat-only clinics for a more trustworthy experience.

The staff here are beyond exceptional!! Definitely trust them with your pet’s life and you will not be disappointed. They are honest, compassionate, affordable, genuine, transparent with all costs/tests, and highly professional. The hospital is very large, absolutely beautiful, and clean! It looks like a regular people-hospital. They saved our K9 fur baby’s life. K9 Zuti is a working dog who became severely ill and would not have survived the night if it wasn’t for the interventions made by VCA Mueller’s ER treatment team. Prior to coming to this ER we took K9 Zuti to a different ER and were told that we had to pay a $6,600 deposit immediately for diagnostics or euthanize him. We decided to get a second opinion at VCA Mueller and are so glad we did! They have a very reasonable and affordable ER visit rate and they even met us outside with a stretcher. They showed extreme compassion from the first phone call we made to them. Our Zuti bonded with the staff during his 4-night stay, which was noted by his fierce tail wagging when they entered the room! They have beautiful and clean visiting rooms where you can see them anytime, day or night. We even went at 2am once; they were very accommodating and welcoming. They will love your pet just as much as you do! You will have peace of mind if you have to leave your fur baby in their care over night or for extended treatment. Thank you VCA Mueller for your professionalism and compassion that you demonstrated towards my family and K9 Zuti!!! We are forever in your debt!
