VCA was able to get me in so quickly, and explain everything to me / answer all my anxious questions. they gave me multiple options and outlined the risk/reward of each. The front desk, vet techs, and DR Green are wonderful. I can tell they care about my dog and myself & want to give us the best outcome & that’s all I could ask for!

I don’t normally write reviews but every experience I have had with VCA has been amazing. I first started taking my dog to VCA Neurology department and they couldn’t have been nicer. They explained everything to me, showed my dog so much love and affection, and wanted to try alternate routes before jumping to anything major like surgery. I have been a paranoid dog mom and have contacted them several times and they have been incredibly understanding and patient. I recently almost went to the emergency VCA vet and they contacted me letting me know the wait times were long and I might have better luck at the urgent care as well as a smaller bill. After urgent care I have texted with questions and have had quick and friendly responses. I truly think they care deeply for their patients. I will never stop recommending them!!

Took my dog in to have him looked at. We sat in a small room after being told there was an emergency before us and they were prepping this dog for surgery. Cool, no problem. In the meantime they were going to express his glands. Awesome. After 4 hours I went to check with the front desk and was told the night shift was coming in in a half hour to do that surgery prep for the other dog. Then they will get to us. I waited till just after 6 which was 5 hours since I arrived and told them we were out. They never did anything to him the entire time. I will say the front desk people were very nice but they could have given us updates instead of leaving us in this tiny room.

Dr Anney Lange was incredible. She was patient, empathetic, knowledgeable, and handled my kitty with such care. Taking a sick pet to the ER is a stressful thing no matter what but I felt like we were safe and in very good hands. The front desk and the vet tech (I wish I had their names) were all super compassionate, helpful, and professional as well. Everyone here showed so much empathy as I bawled my eyes out repeatedly over my kitty being sick. It can’t be easy dealing with that every day and I just want to post this to let them know how much it meant to me. I hope I never need to take a pet to the ER again but if I do I will take them here.

VSNC staff and Dr. Green are compassionate, friendly and very knowledgeable. We were referred to VSNC by our regular vet after our dog suffered a horrible injury to his side. Our normal veterinarian felt he was going to need skin grafts because he had some dying skin. Dr Green was amazing and able to get Remi on his road to recovery without any surgery! Every time we go in for a bandage change everyone from the front desk to the techs are nothing short of amazing in every way! Tammie and Sharon are very good at lightning the mood and making you feel like family and of course spoiling your fur baby.

I sought care at VCA Northern Colorado after several frustrating experiences with my dog’s tail injury. At the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), no treatment or medication was provided, and another emergency clinic turned us away because my dog was not deemed critical. VCA, however, provided prompt, professional, and compassionate care that stood out.

When I arrived at VCA’s emergency services, the friendly and efficient reception staff quickly checked us in. The nurses and technicians were thorough, attentive, and clearly committed to their work. Their positive demeanor and detailed approach immediately set the tone for a supportive and professional environment.

After an initial consultation with the emergency veterinarian, the team referred me to their surgical oncologist, Dr. Rose, for further evaluation. Diagnostics were scheduled promptly, and results were returned quickly. Based on these results, Dr. Rose recommended tail amputation. However, she and the staff demonstrated exceptional empathy and respect for my decision to first try medication and supportive care to see if healing was possible before proceeding with surgery. Their willingness to collaborate and honor my perspective reflected their understanding of the human-animal bond.

The cost of care was reasonable and came in below the quoted range. Throughout the entire process, the staff treated my dog with kindness and professionalism. As a pitbull owner, I also appreciated the absence of breed stigma, which is unfortunately common in other settings.

VCA Northern Colorado’s communication, efficiency, and empathy were among the best I’ve experienced in my 30+ years as a pet-owner. Their professionalism and genuine care set them apart from other veterinary clinics. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. My dog is already feeling better one day later, and his typical playful and affectionate behavior has returned.
