I'm really happy that I finally found a good vet clinic. Today, we rushed to the VCA ER with my friend's dog. They helped us really quickly, provided amazing treatment, prescribed medication, and it all took only 40 minutes.

History: My friend's dog Richard was bitten by a spider, but unfortunately, the area on his paw where he was bitten didn't heal and got worse after a month.

I had previously rushed to the vet ER near my home, and they kept the dog for almost 12 hours. Then, they called me and said they needed to perform surgery to see what was inside the inflamed paw, but the cost would be between $4,000 and $10,000. I declined, and they told me I needed to pick him up immediately or be charged for an overnight stay. But they were the ones who kept the dog for such a long time.

Today, I'm still so happy that we rushed to VCA, and they helped us in such a professional manner.

I'm a dog mom too—I have three pups of my own—and I'll be going back to VCA for general check-ups and vaccinations!

Highly recommended! And I almost forgot, all the staff there are so sweet and gentle!

I have had such an amazing experience with the VCA. Staff have not only been patient with my dog, but with me to answer any and all questions. The vets there have continuously followed up with me to ensure my dog is feeling better and all his needs are met. I am really impressed by their level of care and follow up and highly recommend them, Milo also agrees. Also Dr. Hall is amazing!

Dr Owen and her team in neurology at the VCA swooped in and saved our dogs life. Our dog was experiencing some life threatening cluster seizures for the first time, we were scared and overwhelmed. The emergency response team sat down with us and walked us through what our options were, what to expect and how to make the best decision for our lil fam. I felt that leaving our dog here overnight was scary but that she was in the best place for treatment. They made a sad and scary time more digestible and less scary. The check out team was really respectful and helpful with medication. My dog is a grumpy, defensive girl so I know she caused the team some trouble. I’m grateful that they treated her with respect while still making sure to keep their staff safe. I am forever grateful to VCA West LA.

I rushed my dog here after poison control mentioned he would need professional help. They were nothing short of amazing. From beginning to end I was given updates and a detailed follow up. Thank you Dr. Traci Hayward and team for taking care of my baby!!

My cat (Bhaloo) had a great experience with Dr. Mueller and her team. Everyone was kind from reception, to veterinary technicians, and the amazing veterinarian team. There are so many resources (neurology, cardiology, primary care, etc) in case your pet is in need. It gives me peace of mind knowing VCA West is open 24/7.

We took our cat here for an ultrasound and they insisted that we left him with them for a few hours until someone would be available (which didn’t sit well with us because of how scared he would be without us) but we eventually agreed and they had him for about 3 hours.
I don’t know how they keep animals in there, but our cat came back with fleas, which infested our whole house. Huge headache to deal with, especially while having a baby.

The services were ok, but the fact that you risk your pet catching something there because of unsanitary conditions is a reason to never go back here again and NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I have been meaning to write this review for awhile. VCA West LA is the only emergency vet hospital I would trust my cat to go to after the amazing care and courtesy they gave to me and my sweet cat Graffiti. I brought my cat Graffiti here who was 14 at the time and was lethargic, not eating, and vomiting. He had been to another vet a few days prior and he didn't get better so I knew I had to bring him in. He was 14 and had Hyperthyroidism. Every emergency vet clinic I called told me we would have to wait upwards of 6 hours, this was at 2 AM on a Wednesday night. VCA West LA was the only clinic that told me they would admit him immediately because they knew how dire of a situation he was in since he was old. They discovered that Graffiti had an intestinal blockage and if VCA West LA didn't admit him immediately he likely would have passed. After his blockage, Graffiti lived another 2.5 magical years. On his last night, when he wasn't feeling well, I brought him in to VCA West LA again. They took him immediately and handled him with so much care. When they had to break the news to me that Graffiti's lymphoma had spread and he had another intestinal blockage and that surgery wasn't recommended at his age, they handled everything with such care and courtesy they made the most traumatic experience of my life the best that it could be. They had treated Graffiti with such love and care, they had even let him keep the plastic litter box tray he loved so much from his cage (he was a funny cat) and they had even put my sweatshirt in there with him when he was first admitted too, and they even made sure to give it back to me after so this is now one of the most cherished items I own. Graffiti passed in my lap in a cozy room surrounded by all my family and they gave us as much time as we needed. They even let us wait to have family drive in from all over LA. In some of the most traumatic and heartbreaking experiences of my life, VCA West LA showed up and cared for my cat. They event sent me a handwritten card and some forget-me-not flower seeds. I am very grateful for them and I always felt they loved Graffiti just as much as I did. If I could thank them a thousand times I would. I would happily recommend this vet hospital to anyone who deeply and truly cares about their pet. Rest In Peace Graffiti, my actual whole heart <3
