VCA Yucca valley is a very competent and professional veterinarian facility. I took my cat in because he started to not eat as much and they found out he has some medical issues. They went over all the options and now he is starting to do better. My family and I greatly appreciate everything they did to improve the quality of life of our cat.

I had to make the decision to have my baby girl euthanized and was hesitant about calling, especially on a Saturday and they are not our regular vet. They were very empathetic and supportive and validated my decision after the front desk spoke with the vet. Made me an appointment two hours from when I called so we had some time to spend with our precious Lola. Put us right away in a room and explained everything they had to do. Even though we miss her very much, it eased our minds knowing she was handled in a thoughtful humane manner. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ?

This vet was so caring and did such a good job helping us with our girl. We had a 4 month old kitten that we took to vca 3 times over the course of a month due to undiagnosed FIP. They helped us as much as they could and were really good about getting her in the same day when she needed to be seen. They did such an amazing job explaining the costs of certain things as the appointments went. They were super compassionate and patient when the time came to euthanize her. They got her paw print for us and sent us cards. I will definitely be bringing my other cats here when they need to be seen. 10/10 recommend.

I had to put my sweet dog to rest yesterday. I wasn’t sure if it was the right decision, but the vet ensured I was doing the right thing and made me feel better about it. I was greeted with kindness as soon as I walked in, and everyone was very empathetic. They explained the entire process to me, gave me time to say goodbye, and gave me as much time as I needed afterward. I was given a lock of his hair and an ink paw print. I appreciated how they took my payment before we began, so I didn’t have to deal with all of it afterward. It was affordable, and I am forever grateful for how comforting the staff was during this difficult time.

Horrible experience. Brought my dog in that got into a fight with another dog. He needed a small wound closure and they charged us 1,032 dollars. We had to pay ALL OF IT immediately. We were even told we could NOT LEAVE THE PROPERTY until it was paid in full! I explained I had 900 at the moment and couldn't pay the remainder till the following day. Was told I had a 'hold' on my account and was not allowed to pay half now and half later. I said it's not half! It's damn near 95% of it and I get paid tomorrow. I was then told I could come back tomorrow and have the procedure then but I'd have to pay a second office visit fee. I said absolutely not. Then once I figured out how to pay, they refused to even start on him until it was paid. I was having issues with my cards and kept getting declined. The receptionist, the only nice one, said I could go to the atm. I said no we were told we couldn't leave until it was paid in full. She said that's ridiculous and went to ask if I could go to the atm. I was told I could as long as I left my children there! I had to leave my 2 kids as collateral. Worst Animal hospital ever. Oh! And apparently no one there is able to tell me why there's a hold on my account expect the hospital manager and she conveniently wasn't there. Money obsessed place with no compassion or heart!!!

They get the job done. Corporate owned, so you always pay but it's worth it. We've been going there 15 years with our dogs, and they have been helpful and accomodating when needed.

We were in town visiting the area, as we have for the last decade or so. A group of coyotes came into the yard, and attacked my 14 year old chihuahua rat terrier mix. We were terrified and frantic. We called the VCA, and Cheryl & team coordinated a triage (AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSE, mind you) to make sure the doctor, tech and team were there and ready to service my pup. They got her in right away, puncture wounds and various injuries all taken care of, and even snuck us in for a bandage change and check in before we headed back out of town. When we came back in, everyone was happy to see Turtle (my dog) and all the progress she made! I'm teary-eyed as I write this, because without them who knows what would've happened. Everyone was so warm, communicative, and personal. It's the first time in a long time we didn't just feel like a transaction. They even texted after I was home for a few days to see how Turtle was doing. 1 Million percent recommend.

* Final Update (3): It's been 2 months since the incident and nothing has come of the email they requested. These responses the company gives are automatic with zero concern to fix (or even simply discuss) matters. I'm writing this incident off and simply letting other military members know what's up with this place. It's a shame because they're real good with pets but as a business... Just sad*

I'm on the fence with this place. On one hand, they are very caring with my cats and actually look at my spicy cat where others haven't. On the other, I feel hoodwinked over the cost of my cat's latest care. I was told it would be about $400 total to draw blood for both cats for this specific test only to be told AFTER everything was done that I owed $1300. There was no extra care involved but just the drawing of the blood for this test. Why the $900 increase?! I could have drove to San Diego with both cats, got the test done there for $98 per cat on base, and drove back for less money. I paid it and walked out in tears since I wasn't expecting this increase. I have one more task I need to do and I'm trying to find someone else to do it because that's a scam.

If they were upfront with me about the total cost, I wouldn't have been mad because I would have expected it. But a $900 difference that was only told to me at the last second? Everyone told me I should have just walked out without paying that bill. If my character allowed it, I really should have and would highly recommend others doing so since now I have to figure out how to live on pennies until my next paycheck.

IF YOU'RE MILITARY, GO TO THE BASE VET! ANY BASE VET! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!!

Update 1- After talking with other people about this issue, this seems to be an ongoing problem. They would be told one quote on the phone or in person, but after services are rendered, they are presented with a different number. It gives me the same feeling of the lawsuit Home Depot is presently dealing with. I wouldn't be surprised if this place is next.
It sucks because everyone also says they are amazing with their animals (and I agree with that statement) but what they do when it comes to the bill is criminal.
A comment one of the nurses said to me got me thinking. She said "Thank God the military reimburses you, right?" Was this $900 increase due to that? "Free" money? If that's the case, you're not sticking it to the government, you're sticking it to the military member. 1) The government doesn't reimburse all fees (and that's IF they reimburse at all) and 2) The military member eats the cost for a good long while before being reimbursed (I mean, c'mon. How quick have you seen the government cut a check?). If this is your game plan, I can't even tell you how low you are for treating military and their families this way. I'm hoping to God with all that's in me that the nurse just made a comment without thinking and I'm just looking too much into it. But in case she wasn't, I just want to set that record straight here and now.

Update 2: Just wanted to add that I've reached out via the email below to the company as they requested. They have yet to respond to my email. Communication is DEFINITELY an issue with this location. Take note of that
