Very professional, straight to the point but very clear, gives multiple opportunities to ask questions/share concerns, and reasonably priced (expect to pay a minimum of $350). I got there early, but the doc was backed up with patients so my dog wasn't seen until 2 hours after our scheduled appointment. She comes HIGHLY recommended and is the only one with her specialty within 150 mile radius. Totally worth the wait!

We made an appointment for our dog Ginger when she was having eye issues back in the spring. We then found the drugs we needed for her eyes at another vet in Colorado and told this office we no longer needed an appointment. I then confirmed that our dog was fine and no longer needed an appointment when a staff member called in July. In spite of that they still made a new appointment for Ginger and now have charged us for missing an appointment that should never had been made in the first place. We have called 3 times to get this charge removed and still have not heard back from anyone over the last 3 weeks. Terrible customer service is an understatement. Glad to remove this review if we simply get our missed appointment fee back.

Dr. Schmidt and her staff are competent, kind and empathetic. They've now cared for the eye problems of three of my dogs over the last few years, most recently to treat my "pandemic puppy" that had an abscess on his cornea. We are very fortunate to have someone of Dr. Schmidt's caliber in this area.

Super friendly and professional staff! They were able to get my kitty in much earlier than expected due to a cancellation, which I appreciate so much. Even though the appointments are curbside service only, the nurses provided constant phone call updates on what they were doing and how my cat was. Dr. Schmidt provided such clear information on what she thought was wrong with his eyes and what the proposed treatment plan was. Samurai hates appointments as much as any other cat, but he was a happy, well-taken care of boy at the end of our visit!

Dr. Schmidt and her team are incredible. They are knowledgeable and extremely compassionate. They took care of my Peppers' eyes so that he had vision throughout his life. They are now taking care of my two senior dogs. Highly recommend Dr. Schmidt. She explains everything very well, believes in preventative care. She is amazing.

Wonderful care and diagnosis. Please get 2nd opinions from her, my veterinarian misdiagnosis and wanted to remove both eyes. This doctor gave correct diagnosis and my dog gets to keeps eyes and had procedure to help pain/ eye redness/and abnormal eyelids.
3 hours each way to Dr but well worth it.

Would absolutely NOT recommend

Clients are not allowed in the facility and are forced to wait on the street until a masked tech takes your pet in, you have no idea what happens in there or the level of care that they receive.

Waited 2 hours outside with a dozen others milling around waiting in the elements.

Made the appt with Dr Schmidt, waited 2 months for it, arrived only to be told that some other fill in Dr was there that day. When my pet was returned to me after his exam (?), he called me on the phone to tell me he had no idea what the issue was with my cats eye and to reschedule a follow up visit with Dr Schmidt-- for that I was charged $500. Staff called to schedule a followup appt, was told the cost would be another $300+.

Office is inefficient, there is such a disconnect between the inside and the clients on the street.

I asked why clients are not allowed inside and was told that the facility was to small and covid cases were up.. Perhaps Dr. Schmidt should consult with any of our local vets, on how to operate a proper practice, none of them have an issue keeping their staff save, while seeing clients inside and are clearly able to afford a proper facility on far less income that Dr. Schmidt charges.

Shame on you for being the only specialist around and holding your clients (who clearly care enough to see a specialist) hostage with your street walking car hop practice, clearly you don't care about the level of care you provide!

Dr. Schmidt and all of the office staff are absolutely amazing! They are friendly and kind and so thorough. You wait in your car and they come get your pet from you. Then Dr calls you with the evaluation and talks you through the diagnosis and next steps. The office staff then calls with more information, billing, and then they bring your pet out to you. They have been so flexible with options, timing, and Dr Schmidt has the pet’s best interest in mind at all times. I highly recommend this office!!
