I just want to say Dr Caldwell and staff are simply amazing! Dr Caldwell was warm, friendly, gentle, and very patient with me! I was nervous about knee surgery for my fur baby, Chance. Dr Caldwell addressed every concern thoroughly, putting me at ease! His pricing is so much more attainable then others in the valley! The surgery went well and Chance is 100%. Dr Caldwell’s staff is the best! They are kind, welcoming, and genuine! I simply cannot say enough! I HIGHLY recommend these wonderful humans!?

I cannot thank Veterinary Orthopedic and Surgical Care enough for the care and compassion they showed not only my dog but me as well. Dr. Caldwell was so kind and compassionate, and explained everything thoroughly before fixing my pup's luxating patella. I appreciated so much that he opts for the conservative route whenever he can. My dog did not make the healing process easy on anyone, and Dr. Caldwell was there to answer every single question I had and help with aftercare. A very special shout out to Mel, Mike and Kelly for being absolutely wonderful anytime I had to call in with questions, concerns, and refills. While I hope my dog never needs surgery again, I can rest easy knowing that Dr. Caldwell and Staff are there and he will receive the best care in the Treasure Valley!

We interviewed our local vet and did a lot of research regarding the TPLO surgery. Dr. Mark Caldwell was definitely the right choice. His staff, as well as the environment, was calm and professional. Dr Caldwell and his team are absolutely amazing! I've been a vet tech for many years so I have incredibly high standards when it comes to my pets medical care. After being displeased with the communication at WestVets surgery department I decided to go somewhere else for her other knee surgery. His clinic is everything big corporate clinics aren't. He personally answered the phone and scheduled her for a consultation. When she had issues and the clinic was closed he returned my phone call very quickly even though he was out of town at a conference. When she developed an infection despite all of our best efforts, he went the extra mile during every recheck and phone call. He was even willing to collaborate with her acupuncture/PT vet (not associated with his practice) to get her back to where she needed to be.
He's transparent about his practice, even let me tour the treatment area and there were no surprise charges when it came time to pay.
If any of my pets need an in depth surgery I will always go back to his clinic, not just for the amazing medical care my pet receives but because everyone there was amazing and I knew they had my Delilah's best interest at heart.
She's back to her happy, spunky self. Her favorite things are running around the backyard and sunning herself. Thank you for giving my dog her quality of life back!

My dog had knee surgery two months ago and it was an excellent experience working with this doctor and clinic. He was never in pain, and was able to gently walk the first day. I followed the clinic’s recommendations completely and he has healed very well. Compared to my other dog’s surgery a couple of years ago, this was so much simpler, less painful, and great outcome. The staff is very caring and very accommodating. I cannot recommend this doctor and clinic more highly.

Marc Caldwell was excellent in communicating his findings and what it would take to repair the damage. We chose to do the TPLO surgery for our dog. She healed quick and her stitches held up nicely. In the healing process Marc was great at responding to email and then going over the X-rays. Marc took what ever time was needed to help me understand all I needed to make this a successful surgery.

We visited this hospital for my dog, Bori who had a problem with limping on the front leg. Although it was a hospital that took nearly 4 hours to reach from our home, it was worth the trip. The reception desk staffs were very friendly, and the veterinarian was also extremely kind. They performed an X-ray, and fortunately, it didn't seem to be a major issue. They suggested continuing the anti-inflammatory medication that my dog was already taking. Thankfully, just as the doctor mentioned, my dog has now fully recovered without limping. I was particularly relieved by the doctor's honest opinion that surgery may not be necessary and their assurance that they would refer me to a hospital equipped for MRI imaging if any further intervention was needed. Moreover, the offer from the staff to send the X-ray images via email if needed provided additional peace of mind. I would like to express my gratitude to the veterinarian and the staffs for their exceptional care.
