It takes truly amazing people to work at an Emergency Vet where they are often seeing the people and their pets on the worst days of their life. We have had the unfortunate experience of having to end life for 5 of our beloved pets in our adult life and VSECS has been their for 4 of those 5. They provide a respectful and caring touch. We were there on 1/31. Our 14 year old cat sudden lost the use of his legs and was in such pain. They were there to help Crosby cross over the rainbow bridge. They sent the nicest card signed by all the staff afterwards. We have had to visit this ER vet several times luckily all positive outcomes over the years. I would likely recommend them for any ER need, or for the unfortunate experience of needing to assist a pet into a more comfortable place. Thank you all for the hard work you do and I am sure the emotional toll it takes on you to have a brave face and assist those in need.

This was really hard to write, as I’m still grieving the loss of my sweet boy, Midas. I had to unfortunately bring my dog in for end of life services on 8/13. From the beginning to the end, all the staff was truly amazing. I appreciate all the support, kindness, and compassion that was shown. No one wants to make this type of decision, but I’m truly happy we chose to go here. Midas was the best dog ever, and I’m glad that we got to spend as much time as we could with him. We chose a communal cremation, and received a ceramic paw print, some ink cards with Midas’ paw prints on them, and a vile of fur clippings. A couple weeks later we received such a thoughtful card from all the staff. I was truly touched. Thank you again for making the worst day of my life the best experience it could be.

I just wanna say this place is amazing. I was so worried about our bubba that he needed surgery to remove a foreign body in his stomach. I know a lot of people complain about the wait but I feel like given the time we came in that night and how much staff we noticed we understood completely that they’re working as fast as they can. This place worked with what we had to cover his surgery and communicated so well with us throughout his surgery. Staff was able to send us pics and update us which meant so much! i was even able to stop by and check on bubba. Doctor Kirch was so amazing and explained so much in detail. Even at the end of our visit she went above and beyond for us! I will for sure always be appreciative of them saving bubbas life. Thank you guys for all that you do there!!!

Our Luna was very sick and when we went to Veterinary Specialty and ER care we found out her condition was life threatening. Everyone there was very nice and talked out everything that could be done to save Luna. Luna had the life saving surgery within a few hours. Luna stayed over night. When the surgery was over the doctor called us with an update. We called them a couple times also and every time they were very nice and gave us an update; they are open 24/7 so you can call anytime. Luna was able to come home the next day. Everyone took wonderful care of Luna. Everyone there cares for their fury clients! 10/10

I highly recommend this vet in an emergency! We got into an exam room immediately upon arrival and only waited 15-20 minutes for a nurse to come in. She took my dog to the back for testing and only about 30 minutes later the vet came in to speak to us. Dr. Kirch was great! My dog had to stay overnight and Dr. Kirch was very compassionate and did a great job explaining what the deal was so I wouldn’t be worried. They called with an update overnight and then when I got to pick her up in the morning, I was notified that our down payment was more than our actual bill so I got some money back! Very honest and respectable of them to do! Hopefully I won’t need to be back here but in an emergency I would come back!

THANK YOU for taking care of our boy after he had eaten a toxic food. They let us in, took him to the back shortly afterward, and we did not have to wait long before he was brought back very exhausted but very much alive. We were there from 11:30-2am , but the whole time both the vet assistant and Dr. Kirch checked in and provided updates, and the complimentary coffee and hot cider helped us stay awake. They were so great! For the time we were there and the services they provided, the price was more than reasonable. We are incredibly grateful for what they did for our pup, and that this visit had a happy ending.

We had to take our Sophie girl here because she had complications with a puppy, and needed an emergency c-section. Dr. Noble a new graduate came in to talk to us about everything that would happen. She explained everything in a very detailed manner. She took Sophie back to have tests ran on her. Once tests were back she came back and explained what those test results meant and gave us our options that would be best for our dog. We all agreed a c-section was in her best interest. Dr. Noble even offered us to go see sophie before they took her back for surgery. That right there meant so much to me. Unfortunately the puppy didn’t make it but that was in no way their fault. Amy the girl sitting up front kept checking on Sophie and kept giving us updates on how she was doing. You could tell the staff really cared. After surgery Dr. Noble came out went over everything and asked if we had any questions. Then Dr. Kirch came out and asked us if we had any questions and told us everything went well with Sophie and how well she did. Brittany a technician came out and went over discharge papers and medicine for Sophie. She even offered to help us to the car with Sophie and her pups. Sophie had 4 healthy puppies at home, and the team offered to keep the puppies warm for us while Sophie was in surgery. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Sophie ended up getting sick on her blankets so they gave her a new one to go home with, which I think loves more than her own lol. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of my baby.

These guys are wonderful. They helped us in one of our darkest most dread times. After we had to let go of our fur baby. They continued to be there for us they sent us a sympathy card in the mail they explained the process very clear to us they allowed us as a family to be with her during this time. We choose cremation and we had our baby back in less than 3 weeks. We love this vet they are amazing and truly amazing people work there. We would highly recommend them for anyone. They care so deeply which is very hard to find now days. Thank you to the staff at veterinary specialty & Emergency care south for all the compassionate you have shown to our family!
