El peor hospital !!!

Recently had an ortho consult for my small dog Frida with Dr. Sidhu and I was so impressed with our experience from start to finish. Frida is VERY nervous at the vet and can be aggressive, and is also dog reactive. We were allowed to wait in the car until the team was ready for us, then brought back to a very large and quiet exam room, with no scary exam table, just a bed and blankets on the floor. The staff were very respectful of Frida's needs and gave her plenty of space and time to get comfortable, and asked permission before offering treats or touching her. The tech, Dr. Sidhu, and his team all took their time and were super detailed and prepared and made both me and Frida feel at ease. After years of back and forth on a leg injury, we finally got a clear answer and a clear path forward. Perhaps the most important thing for me, was that the entire team got down on the floor to examine Frida, allowed me to handle her and use our own muzzle to keep her comfortable, and took their time giving her breaks when needed, and respecting when she growled/yelped/otherwise asked them to stop. They kept the hands on exam short, and were so careful and gentle with her. I wish all of her vet experiences could be that great- she probably wouldn't be so scared of vets! Thanks to the entire team for making our experience so easy!

They were wonderful! My tiny shorty Jack Russell Terrier got bit by a rattlesnake and they took her right in. They saved her life. They were all super friendly and explained everything to me. The cost and everything. They really made me feel at ease and were able to customize to my budget and needs. Thank you so much!

Dr Banks is an extraordinary veterinarian. She is amazing and extremely gentle with the animals, competent, knowledgeable , and obviously cares deeply for the animals. She is attentive to any concerns, and explains everything beautifully with patience and clarity. I trust her completely. Thank you Dr Banks!
I want to mention also her assistants, who are all very caring and gentle with the animal, know how to handle them in uncomfortable situations, and just maintain a very positive attitude.
My dog has a chronic problem, so we go there often. It is truly an amazing environment.

Everything went very smoothly, very well and as expected. The reception. staff and Dr Thomson were all very good, very professional. I, of course, wish the prognosis for my pet Bozzhley had been better but it is what it is. (I've been told by Dr. Thomson that Bozzhley has a large liver tumor and being nearly 16 yrs old very likely will not survive surgery or even chemotherapy). I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone needing an honest, thorough and professional evaluation of their pets condition .

We were treated with the best of care . Your staff was very helpful and kind . Karen was so helpful, and the Dr was amazing, she sat on the floor with our little guy (Peanut), as she explained the procedure and care that was needed … Our fears were lifted , we would recommend that anyone dealing with a serious medical issue with their fur baby .. seek help at your facility … We thank you so much .. 10/10 I have nothing but love for all the staff and crew at San marcos VSH . My Little baby starla had emergency neck surgery last November 2023 with Dr.G Successfully and a year later my girl is living her best life no neck pain. this year i had to have a fatty tumor removed and without hesitation I decided it was This hospital that was gonna do her surgery. we are 3 days post surgery everything has gone so smooth she is doing great and seems so much happier to not have the tumor hanging. Thankful to the doctors and staff for caring for my baby as their own. I would recommend 1000-% all board certified I definitely felt more at peace knowing they are specialists at their surgical skills . Thank You VSH
