Took my dog in after she was hit by a car. They would not see her and I had to drive over an hour away to Idaho Falls with my poor pup in pain because their schedule was already full for the day. Part of the veterinarians oath is to protect health and welfare and prevent and relief suffering. So disappointing. Thankfully she got good care in IF but I've had to drive back and forth many times for her follow-up care.

We take all of our pets to Dr Maura (cats, dogs, bunnies) and we appreciate her honest communication about what she can and cannot do (eg bunny spays). Great advice on pet dietary changes to prevent further vet emergencies - and she’s almost always managed to squeeze us in for emergencies or provide good advice over the phone. Bring a solo vet in a busy practice ain’t no joke. Keep up the quality care! We appreciate having you right in Victor.

Dr Maura saved my dogs life. He was sick, she did surgery, then sent him for Hyperbaric chamber treatment! That was 3 years ago, and my dog is still in great health and sees her yearly! Staff is friendly and helpful

Maura is a fantastic vet.
The ladies at the front desk are fabulous, especially Carly.
My dog has several health complications that are difficult and scary to deal with.
Without Victor Vet I would be so lost and hopeless!
They take the time to give my dog the care and attention he needs.
They always get right back to me when I call or email with questions.

While I do not have animals at this time in my life, I have taken my elderly father’s animals to Dr. Maura when he has been too sick to get them there himself. Dr. Maura and her staff have treated my dad’s animals with kindness and expertise. I also take care of my daughter’s dog all summer; again, Dr. Maura has been excellent helping me out when I have a vet issue with one of these animals. I feel very lucky to have her in the Valley.

Victor Vet is the only place I have taken my two dogs over the past 15 years. I have had two very different dogs. Maura and her staff have helped me through each of my dog’s eccentricities, helped in emergencies, and provided above and beyond level care when it came time to say goodbye to our first dog. I know she’ll continue to provide excellent care for the life of our second dog.

Our family was in town visiting for a family reunion. Our healthy 10 year old mini goldendoodle started having some concerning issues so we tried to get him into this vet. They wouldn’t see him. I babied him for half a day and he slightly perked up, so we left him briefly for a family dinner. We came back to a very sick guy. Vomiting, lethargic, cold and generally unwell. We tried again to get someone to see him. No! We weren’t established patients. We made the decision to drive 1 1/2 hours to Idaho falls at 11pm in hopes of saving our beloved family pet. By the time we got there he was completely shutting down and all we could do was it him asleep after a traumatic day of worrying about him and seeking help for him with no avail. While I’m sure this place is great for locals, don’t bother in an emergency situation since they don’t seem to care if you’re not an established patient. I don’t know if they could’ve helped us save his life or not, but it is extremely heartless to turn away any living thing in an emergency situation in my opinion. Our family has longtime deep roots in this community, and I will recommend Driggs vet over this one since they actually called back and offered to see him even though we were already on the way to Idaho falls. It’s painful to bury your best friend not where you can regularly visit him and in such an unexpected way. Also, based on the owners response to my review (which has since been deleted) and some of the other reviews posted, there is an attitude that is off putting without compassion and is very defensive without true remorse for not meeting the needs of people and their beloved pets.

Victor Vet and their staff have always been nothing short of amazing and have cared for all our pets as if they were their own for the last 15 years. We have had countless emergencies and they have always done their very best to help or suggested other options if they could not. Their honesty, expertise and compassion are unparalleled.
