In June 2024, after relocating to the area as a military family with the GA Air National Guard, we prioritized finding reliable veterinary care for our three dogs, particularly our 15-year-old miniature dachshund who required extra attention due to his advanced age. Fortunately, we discovered Westmoreland & Slappey and have been thoroughly impressed with their exceptional service. Dr. Martin has been instrumental in providing top-notch care for our canine companions. Today, we faced the difficult task of saying goodbye to our beloved dachshund, and while it was a heartbreaking day for our family, Dr. Martin and her staff showed us kindness, compassion, and understanding, making the process as comfortable as possible. We are deeply grateful for the care and support they provided during this challenging time, and we will always appreciate the love and attention they showed our dear Mitch.

We saw Dr. Slappey while on a trip from Cleveland, Ohio to Perry for a dog show. My Standard Poodle, Journey, had started coughing overnight, so we called to get an appointment the next morning. Not fun when your best buddy is sick on the road. Dr. Slappey and his staff were wonderful, handled my boy with kid gloves and were so nice. He’s a nervous boy and they did everything slowly and gently so they wouldn’t need a muzzle. He did great and got some medications that helped quickly. 100% recovery and now he’s back to normal and living his best dog life. I can 100% recommend this vet hospital for your fur babies.

Dr. Slappey has done all of my pets dentals and extractions! He takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions I had. I travel all the way from Atlanta for this vet office. It’s an affordable, honest and AMAZING clinic!

Wonderful, pleasant, professional, and patient staff. Dr. Slappey and the staff treated our K9 as a family member. Each staff member we have encountered is very knowledgeable and patient-focused. You know it is a great hospital when your dog is eager to go to their appointments and tries to pull you through the door. We're new to the area and have found our doggy doctor. I recommend them for all of your veterinary needs.

Mason tore a nail while playing during our stay at a nearby campground. They fit us in the schedule and confirmed his nail was going to be okay after applying a compression bandage to stop the bleeding. Thank you for being so caring!! ❤

Here at Westmoreland & Slappey they are super kind and welcoming, very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. They treated each puppy with care during their first visit check up while giving their first round of shots. These little guys are all AKC registered and Embark tested, it was an added peace of mind that they have a wonderful veterinary team to help keep them healthy while growing. 100% definitely recommend!
