By far the best vets around! Intelligent, knowledgeable, helpful, kind, compassionate, patient, fast, informative, caring. Westside is second to NONE!! Every vet there is outstanding. Our rescue vet is Dr Lauren. She's helped us with so many cats and kittens from dog bite injuries, wolf worm in a cars face, her dad did surgery for a cat with two severe hernias, kitten in critical condition, broken bones, bacterial infections, eye removal surgeries, other eye surgeries, countless spay & Neuter surgeries, and endless URI. Every single visit is filled with true compassion & desire to get these animals healthy and happy. They surpass 5 stars ? if I could give them a million I would. If you're looking for a great outstanding vet who cares about your pets, Westside is the ONLY option. I've visited other vets and they don't even compare. Not to mention the cost is reasonable, especially compared to other vets. Hands down the BEST!

I drive from Athens down to Arab because they are so awesome. I've used Westside for about 20 years, I prefer Andy Wilks.. just because... It's like a good hairdresser or doctor once you find a good one you stick with them.

I respect the fact that he's blunt and honest while being considerate of your personal feelings.

Westside is an awesome vet. I like all of the doctors, but Dr. Dixie Mahan is my favorite. She's so sweet and considerate. She takes the time to explain everything in detail and makes sure you understand. If you have a question or a bunch of questions, she'll be patient and answer each and every one of them.

Dr Dixie Mahan is the best! My dog is 9 years old, I started going to her about 3 years ago and she has by far been the best vet for my babies. I drive from Chattanooga to see Dr Lauren Ellenburg because she is the best vet I have found. Trust me I have been through a lot of them because I have a hard time trusting vets with my bulldogs. She is very knowledgeable of the bulldog breed and their many health issues. Lauren not only is kind but she also listens to you and to me that is huge! Thank you Westside Veterinary Hospital for everything you do to care for my furry kids.

Anyone that knows me knows that when it comes to my pup they are legit with me 24/7. With that being said , the trust factor has to be there for many reasons. Dr.Lauren hands down is the best. My soul dog Miss Belle was a few months shy of 16 years old she ended up getting kidney disease. She suggested an I.V. Treatment and it was awesome it worked and we was able to spend more time together, went back home to Ohio to see my parents her meme n papa one last time. So when I say Westside gets it! They really do.
And now I have a new pup Her name is Lily- Mamouth and they just finished her surgery getting fixed so no puppy’s .
