I recently moved to the area and my Great Dane was having some neck issues which was also affecting his walking. I was able to call and get him an appointment for the same day this past Friday. Everyone there was great from the check-in staff, the Vet Tech, to the provider. Dr. Samples was absolutely wonderful; explaining everything in detail and going over differentials regarding my dogs diagnosis and allowing me to be involved and feel involved in his care. I love that they are very transparent with pricing upfront and let you know ahead of time of what to expect, which is amazing also. After discussion, we opted to go the medication route and see how my dog did over the weekend and by the next afternoon, I could tell a difference in my dog. He is actually raising his head again and walking better. He’s a 10 year old Dane so he’s not as young as he once was! I will absolutely be returning with him and my other animals I have for them to help care for!

Dr. Fields was so great at our first visit. She was very personable and knowledgeable and she really seemed to care about both my dogs overall health and well being. Not to mention the staff were so nice as well, even with my crazy puppy. Had a great experience overall and I look forward to continuing my dogs care with these guys.

I will continue to use this place because overall they are good. There’s just one thing…

*I would’ve given 5 stars but communication wasn’t great. Brought my cat for grooming, specifically because he was matted.
A $100 quote before he got shaved then a surprising $35 fee when I picked him up for the mats. That should have been communicated beforehand. At least I know for next time.

I was a 30 year customer of this practice. The Drs. Cobb were fantastic and I started going there when they were next to the Publix in 1994. I recommended them to everyone I knew. When Dr. Cobb wasn't available I saw Dr. Samples, who I think is still there and if you can see her, that is great. The whole front staff has also changed and Jennifer isn't there either.

But I can deal with a people change if I think my animals are getting good care. This too has also changed, and it's unacceptable.

My little Jack Russel had a spot on her jaw that was raw and looked like it hurt. I took her in. I was seen by the new Dr., Dr. Kero. Dr. Kero told me that it was likely bad dental care but she couldn't see for sure, and recommended we schedule pulling six upper teeth. I had to do blood work for the anticipated surgery to the tune of $508 and purchased meds for pain for the teeth extraction. They said to go ahead and buy that then before the surgery.

I called back before the appointment to discuss and asked if that spot could be something else, and that before we pulled six teeth could they take a look and see what we were dealing with.

They agreed, so I took her in for the anesthesia to see what this little spot was, and asked when I dropped her off that IF they saw a tooth that was causing that spot to go ahead and take the tooth. This exploratory piece was another $834.

When I picked her up they said she'd done well and when I asked if they looked at the tooth they said they didn't have time to do that, and I'd have to schedule another appointment for anesthesia and to take teeth. They also said they'd scraped the spot to do a biopsy.

Long story short my little Lulu had Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Had I not asked them to not pull teeth, they would have pulled six teeth and caused unbelievable pain and suffering to my little dog. It wasn't hygiene, it was cancer. She passed middle of December.

I am afraid this practice is now more about appointments and dollar signs than the old country vet it used to be, and that makes me very sad. 🙁

I won't be back.

Dr Samples was so sweet to my Brady. I did walk into a scene w a pups mom. And I don't know what was happening but the front desk did try to calm her down and find solutions. I was nervous at first because she was saying things that made me have second thoughts. But Dr Samples took away that fear. Brady was so sweet on her and felt relaxed. The tech loved on Brady too and he did great without needing meds to drug him like his previous vet. They gave the answers I needed and took some of my anxiety away. Maybe the older patients are just not used to their new policies but that's just not their hospital, it's almost every vet hospital.

I was so disappointed with how I was treated here last week.
Our Yorkie was attacked and was crying in pain and couldn't use either of his front legs.
We rushed to WCAC and were met at the counter by two young girls...both on their personal phones.
I was in a panic as my little fur baby was crying out in pain and shaking.
One girl looked up but then completely ignored me. Her conversation indicated she had plans after work.
The other girl reluctantly, temporarily put her phone down and blandly said "Can I help you?" as she looked at the clock. I quickly told her what was going on as my baby whelped and cried.
She then huffed, put the cell phone back up to her mouth and said "Hold on a minute"
She then...with zero emotion or care said "Yeah we close soon..and we don't have anything, we're appointment only...you're gonna have to find and emergency vet." THEN...shen turned away to go back to her call.
I was shocked...literally no care or concern at all for my terrified, crying dog and no offer of help.
By this time, my husband had come in and was a little more assertive and asked for a recommendation of an ER vet.
She very blandly, emotionlessly, and reluctantly pulled out a list.
Wow...I can't believe how we were treated.

Dr. Samples is my lifesaver for my miracle dog, Meadow, who was born with polycystic kidney disease and was diagnosed with kidney failure as a puppy. After this devastating news, Dr. Samples spent so much time with us and consulting UGA to see what her prognosis was and what we should do to manage her disease. I am so unbelievably thankful for Dr. Samples and our girl just turned 3! When she was diagnosed, UGA was not sure she would live much longer and said her disease would drastically reduce her lifespan. If Dr. Samples hadn’t diagnosed her early and intervened quickly, we would have had a much different outcome. She’s been caring for our Meadow for 3 years now (and many of our previous dogs) and we love her so much. She is compassionate, intelligent, and always willing to go the extra mile. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

I went there to have my dog of 12 years euthanized and they did a good job on that however I was told I would receive a paw print and a nose print. When I received the package it only contained the paw prints. So I called them and was put on hold for 10+ minutes..I hung up thinking they forgot about me and when I called back they immediately was put on hold again. Now I called them to set up an appointment for our new puppy Ivy and they told me that we had to go somewhere else for service. Wow never been treated so rudely!!
