Dr. Carrie is Amazing! She helped diagnose my dog years ago with diabetes. Also, she made the Rainbow Bridge crossing as painless as possible. Recently, my father had been going to another area vet. He took his dog there for 3 weeks. During that time, the Dr. kept prescribing antibiotics. Finally, my dad took his dog to Dr. Carrie. She got him in right away and started doing lab work and x-rays. My dad knew his dog wasn't eating and losing weight, but didn't realize that he had lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. The other Dr never mentioned the weight loss to my dad. Dr. Carrie was able to quickly diagnose the dog with Addison's disease and get him the medicine that he needed to start feeling better. My dad thought his dog was nearing the end of his life, and now his dog is improving daily! We can't thank Dr. Carrie enough for her dedication and outstanding vet care!

They are all awesome here. My dog had acl surgery almost 3 weeks ago. I bring her in twice a week, and they get their workout with her. She definitely isn't a fan of the vet, but their kindness and care sure does make it easier for me to bring her there. I would recommend them to anyone in need. Truly awesome people here. Thank you all for taking care of my Lilly!

Tried to get appt for one of my cats, hoping to establish my animals with a consistent provider Their “protocol “ is to have “all vet records “ for each animal inspite of current records being sent as they requested. Seemed like a run around way to deny care since they admitted to being very busy and booked up. We won’t bother again

Dr. Anderson took great care of our sick cat. She also called me multiple times during the weekend to check on him. Everyone was very friendly and showed great compassion for our pet. I highly recommend them.

My American Bulldog had a bad reaction to the dr and staff, never seen her so scared, took her twice, never will go back!! AND ... they can never settle on one price for anything!!
It's kind of strange that none of the other area vets hasn't heard of this place too!!! DO NOT take your animals here, whatever they do behind closed doors to your furrbaby, it ain't good!!!! 🤬😡

My dog is not a patient at Hometown Animal Clinic. He had an emergency and his regular vet could not get him in until very late in the day. I called many vets in the Crown Point area and everyone referred us to an emergency vet in Highland. Hometown called me back and worked him into their busy schedule. He was seen and treated immediately. Everyone there was accommodating, friendly and took very good care of our dog.

Dr. Jerry Allee, a retired and well-liked local vet, recommended Carrie when my dog started exhibiting some health concerns that I felt my previous vet had glossed over. These issues turned out to be quite serious, and I am not exaggerating when I say that Carrie saved my buddy’s life. If anyone is looking for a vet who has a caring nature, is thorough and whip-smart, and will give your pet the personal attention it deserves, then give Dr. Carrie LaMere a try.
